TANJUNG JABUNG BARAT — Tim Opsnal Tipidum Satreskrim Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat mengamankan barang bukti kasus pencurian kendaraan bermotor (curanmor) di wilayah hukum Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat, Kamis (7/5/2026) sekitar pukul 14.30 WIB hingga selesai.
Pengungkapan kasus tersebut dipimpin langsung oleh Kanit Pidum Polres Tanjab Barat, Ipda Peri Sutikno, S.H. Polisi berhasil mengamankan satu unit sepeda motor yang diduga hasil tindak pidana pencurian.
Kasus curanmor itu sendiri terjadi pada Jumat, 1 Mei 2026 sekitar pukul 04.00 WIB di Kelurahan Patunas, Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Provinsi Jambi.
Korban diketahui berinisial MN (53), seorang wiraswasta warga Kelurahan Tungkal Empat Kota, Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
Kapolres Tanjung Jabung Barat melalui Kasat Reskrim, AKP Peter Bernandus, S.Tr.K., S.I.K., M.H., menjelaskan bahwa pengungkapan kasus berawal dari hasil penyelidikan Tim Opsnal Tipidum Satreskrim di lapangan terkait keberadaan pelaku dan barang bukti sepeda motor.
“Dari hasil penyelidikan, tim berhasil mengamankan seorang pria berinisial DI di rumahnya yang berada di Jalan Sriwijaya, Kelurahan Tungkal IV, Kecamatan Tungkal Ilir,” ujar Kasat Reskrim.
Dalam pemeriksaan awal, DI mengakui telah membeli satu unit sepeda motor Yamaha FIZ-R warna hitam dari pelaku utama berinisial R yang saat ini masuk dalam daftar pencarian orang (DPO).
Polisi menduga kendaraan tersebut merupakan hasil tindak kejahatan.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh petugas, pelaku utama diketahui melarikan diri ke Kota Padang pada Rabu, 6 Mei 2026.
Saat ini, Tim Satreskrim Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat masih melakukan pengembangan dan pengejaran terhadap pelaku utama.
Akibat kejadian tersebut, korban mengalami kerugian sekitar Rp4 juta.
