KUALA TUNGKAL – Di tengah gerimis yang terus membasahi Alun-Alun Kota, semangat kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia ke-81 justru berkobar lebih dahsyat. Bupati Drs. H. Anwar Sadat, M.Ag., bertindak sebagai Inspektur Upacara, memimpin ribuan peserta dari berbagai elemen masyarakat untuk tetap berdiri tegak, khidmat, dan penuh rasa hormat hingga detik-detik terakhir upacara, Senin (17/08/2026).
Bukan air hujan yang menetes, melainkan keringat kebanggaan yang mengalir. Suasana haru biru menyelimuti lapangan saat Sang Saka Merah Putih dikibarkan gagah berani diiringi lantunan Indonesia Raya. Bupati Anwar Sadat membacakan teks Pancasila dan Naskah Proklamasi dengan suara lantang, sementara Ketua DPRD Hamdani, S.E., membacakan Pembukaan UUD 1945. Kehadiran Wakil Bupati Dr. H. Katamso, Forkopimda, Ketua TP-PKK Hj. Fadhilah Sadat, S.H., pelajar, mahasiswa, ASN, dan tokoh masyarakat membuktikan bahwa persatuan tidak kenal cuaca.
Simbol Persatuan: Bendera Diteruskan ke Akar Rumput
Momen paling menyentuh terjadi saat penyerahan bendera Merah Putih secara simbolis kepada para Lurah, Kepala Desa, tokoh masyarakat, hingga perwakilan pelajar dan mahasiswa. Aksi ini bukan sekadar seremonial, melainkan pesan kuat bahwa estafet menjaga kemerdekaan ada di tangan setiap lapisan masyarakat, dari pejabat hingga warga biasa. "Kecintaan terhadap tanah air dibuktikan dengan kontribusi nyata bagi bangsa," tegas semangat yang tersirat dalam prosesi tersebut.
Kemanusiaan di Hari Merdeka: 349 Warga Binaan Dapat Remisi
Di sisi lain, peringatan HUT ke-81 RI juga menjadi momen pengampunan dan harapan baru. Sebanyak 349 warga binaan pemasyarakatan menerima Remisi Umum I dan II. Pemberian remisi ini merupakan wujud negara yang tidak hanya menghukum, tetapi juga membina. Ini adalah motivasi bagi mereka untuk memperbaiki diri, bertobat, dan kelak kembali berkontribusi positif di tengah masyarakat. Doa yang dipimpin oleh Kepala Kantor Kementerian Agama Tanjab Barat menutup rangkaian upacara dengan penuh kekhusyukan, memohon keberkahan bagi bangsa yang sedang berproses menuju kematangan demokrasi.
Dari Hujan Menuju Karya Nyata
Upacara ditutup dengan foto bersama yang basah namun penuh senyum lebar antara Bupati, Wakil Bupati, jajaran Forkopimda, dan seluruh peserta. Basahnya pakaian karena hujan seolah menjadi saksi bisu bahwa semangat 45 tidak luntur oleh rintangan kecil.
Dari Alun-Alun Kuala Tungkal, pesan jelas telah terkirim: Kemerdekaan bukan hadiah yang jatuh dari langit, melainkan janji yang harus dijaga dengan persatuan dan diisi dengan karya nyata. Bagi Tanjung Jabung Barat, HUT ke-81 RI adalah tonggak baru untuk melangkah lebih cepat, lebih adil, dan lebih sejahtera menuju visi BERKAH Madani.
