Bangko-Munculnya kabut asap yang datang secara tiba-tiba menyelimuti Kota Bangko pada Rabu pagi (26/8), langsung disikapi Bupati Merangin H M Syukur, yang sebelumnya telah berupaya melakukan pencegahan pemicu timbulnya asap tersebut.

Disisi lain bupati minta masyarakat untuk tidak mengabaikan kondisi saat ini, masyarkat dihimbau untuk mengunakan masker berfiltrasi tinggi dan mengurangi aktivitas di luar ruangan, untuk mencegah risiko Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA).
Hari ini juga bupati mengintruksi Dinas Kesehatan Merangin, untuk segera membagi-bagikan masker di banyak titik. Rencananya anak-anak TK dan Sekolah Dasar (SD) juga akan belajar secara daring pada Kamis hingga Sabtu.
Dalam kondisi cuaca berasap saat ini bupati minta anak-anak, lansia, ibu hamil, terlebih bagi masyarakat yang penderita penyakit pernapasan, wajib mengurangi aktivitas sehari-harinya di luar rumah.
‘’Perbanyak minum air putih untuk memenuhi konsumsi cairan yang cukup, guna membantu menjaga kelembapan saluran pernapasan. Air putih juga bisa membantu mengeluarkan racun dari tubuh akibat menghirup udara yang berasap,’’pinta Bupati.
Bupati menyarankan agar masyarakat juga menjaga kondisi rumah dari asap, dengan menutup pintu, jendela dan ventilasi rapat-rapat saat kabut asap pekat sehingga polusi tidak masuk ke dalam ruangan.
‘’Jika ada masyarakat yang mengalami gejala seperti sesak napas, batuk berkepanjangan atau iritasi mata, maka segera mungkin mendatangi fasilias kesehatan terdekat, ke Puskesmas atau rumah sakit,’’pinta Bupati lagi.
Sebelumnya bupati telah mengeluarkan imbauan tegas, agar masyarakat tidak membuka atau membersihkan lahan dengan cara dibakar, guna mengantisipasi bencana kabut asap akibat kebakaran hutan dan lahan (karhutla) di puncak musim kemarau.
