MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari menekankan agar seluruh satuan pendidikan di wilayah tersebut segera membentuk Tim Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan (TPPK).
Pembentukan TPPK menjadi langkah penting agar setiap laporan atau indikasi kekerasan dapat ditangani secara cepat dan terkoordinasi bersama pihak terkait, kata Kepala Unit Pelaksana Teknis Daerah Perlindungan Perempuan dan Anak (UPTD PPA) Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk, Keluarga Berencana, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak (DPPKBP3A) Kabupaten Batang Hari Neneng Eva Anggraeni di Muara bulian, Kamis.
"Langkah itu kita lakukan seiring meningkatnya perhatian terhadap kasus kekerasan terhadap anak yang terjadi di sejumlah daerah," katanya.
Pembentukan tim tersebut merupakan upaya memperkuat perlindungan terhadap peserta didik dari berbagai bentuk kekerasan, termasuk kekerasan seksual di lingkungan sekolah.
Untuk itu, UPTD PPA DPPKBP3A Kabupaten Batang Hari terus mengintensifkan upaya pencegahan dengan mendorong setiap sekolah memiliki mekanisme penanganan yang jelas.
Menurut Neneng, keberadaan TPPK akan memudahkan sekolah melakukan koordinasi dengan UPTD PPA, memberikan perlindungan kepada korban, serta memastikan proses pendampingan berjalan sesuai prosedur.
Selain memperkuat sistem di sekolah, Neneng juga menekankan pentingnya edukasi kepada anak agar mereka memahami batasan terhadap diri sendiri sejak dini.
"Pemahaman itu sangat penting karena menjadi salah satu langkah pencegahan agar anak mampu mengenali dan melaporkan tindakan yang mengarah pada kekerasan," ujarnya.
Untuk mendukung upaya tersebut, UPTD PPA saat ini terus menggelar sosialisasi ke berbagai sekolah, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) dan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA).
"Sosialisasi kita fokuskan pada edukasi mengenai pencegahan kekerasan, perlindungan anak, serta mekanisme pelaporan apabila terjadi tindak kekerasan," tutur Neneng.
Di samping itu, UPTD PPA mengingatkan bahwa peran orang tua tetap menjadi faktor utama dalam mencegah terjadinya kekerasan terhadap anak melalui pengawasan dan komunikasi yang baik.
"Pendampingan di lingkungan keluarga menjadi kunci utama untuk melindungi anak dari berbagai bentuk kekerasan, baik di sekolah maupun di luar sekolah," katanya.
