MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari mulai merealisasikan pembangunan Gedung Pusat Oleh-Oleh di kawasan wisata Aek Tumpah, Muarabulian, Kabupaten Batang Hari.
Kepala Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kabupaten Batang Hari, Ajrisa Windra di Muarabulian mengatakan, fasilitas tersebut bernilai sebesar Rp2,3 miliar yang bersumber dari APBD Kabupaten Batang Hari Tahun Anggaran 2026.
Fasilitas itu disiapkan sebagai wadah etalase bagi produk-produk unggulan Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) kita sekaligus mendukung pengembangan sektor pariwisata," katanya.
Pembangunan yang merupakan paket Perluasan Bangunan gedung pusat Oleh-Oleh tersebut memiliki masa pelaksanaan selama 150 hari kalender.
Untuk pembangunan gedung pusat oleh-oleh itu merupakan bagian dari upaya pemerintah melengkapi sarana pendukung kawasan wisata sekaligus membuka peluang pemasaran yang lebih luas bagi pelaku UMKM.
Ia juga mengatakan, lokasi gedung sengaja dibangun berdekatan dengan kawasan wisata Aek Tumpah agar wisatawan dapat dengan mudah membeli berbagai produk unggulan daerah setelah menikmati destinasi tersebut.
Sementara itu, kerajinan tangan seperti kuliner khas, dan berbagai produk UMKM Batang Hari memiliki tempat pemasaran yang lebih representatif.
"Keberadaan pusat oleh-oleh ini diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah bagi pelaku UMKM untuk memasarkan produk lokal sekaligus memberikan kenyamanan bagi wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Aek Tumpah," ujarnya.
Kehadiran fasilitas ini diharapkan mampu memberikan nilai tambah bagi kawasan wisata Aek Tumpah dengan menghadirkan pusat belanja produk khas Batang Hari dalam satu lokasi.
Ajrisa berharap pembangunan pusat oleh-oleh ini mampu meningkatkan daya tarik wisata Aek Tumpah, mendatangkan lebih banyak wisatawan dari dalam maupun luar daerah, serta mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat melalui meningkatnya penjualan produk-produk unggulan Batang Hari.
"Kami berharap pembangunan fasilitas ini dapat meningkatkan daya tarik pengunjung, sehingga dapat mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi masyarakat melalui pemasaran produk-produk unggulan daerah," tutupnya.
