Tanjab Barat – Satuan Reserse Narkoba Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat melakukan penyelidikan terhadap unggahan yang viral di media sosial terkait postingan milik akun FH. Kegiatan tersebut dilaksanakan pada Sabtu, 4 Juli 2026, sekitar pukul 13.00 WIB di Desa Pematang Lumut, Kecamatan Betara, Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
Kasat Resnarkoba Polres Tanjab Barat, AKP Agus A. Purba, S.H., M.H., mengatakan bahwa penyelidikan dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan informasi dan memastikan fakta yang sebenarnya terkait informasi yang beredar di masyarakat.
Berdasarkan keterangan Kanit Reskrim Polsek Betara, IPDA Bambang Widodo, S.Sos., pada Jumat (3/7/2026) sekitar pukul 21.00 WIB, dirinya menerima telepon dari seorang pria berinisial RN yang menyampaikan bahwa rekannya berinisial JI diduga mengalami penyekapan atau penculikan oleh sejumlah orang. Menanggapi informasi tersebut, Kanit Reskrim menyarankan agar RN segera berkoordinasi dengan Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa, dan Kepala Desa Pematang Lumut mengingat seluruh pihak yang disebutkan merupakan warga desa setempat dan informasi yang diterima saat itu masih memerlukan klarifikasi.
Sekitar pukul 21.10 WIB, Kanit Reskrim juga menghubungi Kepala Desa Pematang Lumut, Pahlawan Siregar, untuk menyampaikan informasi tersebut. Kepala desa menyatakan akan membantu melakukan penelusuran dan penyelesaian awal karena para pihak saling mengenal.
Pada Sabtu (4/7/2026) dini hari sekitar pukul 02.12 WIB, RN mengirimkan foto JI yang memperlihatkan adanya luka pada bagian pelipis kiri.
Selanjutnya, sekitar pukul 08.00 WIB, seorang rekan RN berinisial IN mengabarkan bahwa JI telah ditemukan sekitar pukul 02.00 WIB di sekitar wilayah sebelum Jembatan Aur Duri dengan kondisi mengalami luka pada pelipis kiri.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diterima dari IN, sebelum kejadian JI diketahui memenuhi ajakan seseorang untuk mengambil barang yang disebut sebagai pesanan. Setelah itu JI tidak kembali hingga akhirnya ditemukan beberapa jam kemudian.
Keterangan yang diperoleh menyebutkan JI diduga mengalami tindakan kekerasan sebelum ditinggalkan di lokasi tersebut.
Meski demikian, hingga saat ini korban belum membuat laporan resmi ke Polsek Betara.
Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh dari RN, JI masih berada di Jambi dan diharapkan segera kembali ke Betara agar proses hukum dapat ditempuh apabila yang bersangkutan bersedia melaporkan kejadian tersebut secara resmi.
Sementara itu, Kepala Desa Pematang Lumut menjelaskan bahwa dirinya telah memanggil RN untuk meminta penjelasan mengenai unggahan yang beredar di media sosial.
Menurut keterangan RN, unggahan tersebut dibuat karena kebingungan mencari tempat untuk mengadukan peristiwa yang dialami rekannya. Kepala desa kemudian meminta agar informasi yang disampaikan dipastikan terlebih dahulu kebenarannya serta mengarahkan RN untuk menghapus unggahan tersebut, yang kemudian telah dihapus.
Polres Tanjab Barat mengimbau masyarakat agar tidak mudah menyebarkan informasi yang belum terverifikasi serta mengajak setiap pihak yang merasa menjadi korban tindak pidana untuk segera membuat laporan resmi kepada kepolisian agar dapat diproses sesuai ketentuan hukum yang berlaku.
