MUARABULIAN - Masyarakat Desa Sungai Buluh, Kecamatan Muarabulian, Kabupaten Batang Hari menggelar aksi unjuk rasa di Kantor DPRD Kabupaten Batang Hari guna menyampaikan sejumlah aspirasi kepada para wakil rakyat.
Dalam aksi tersebut, massa menyuarakan tuntutan agar PT JDR lebih memprioritaskan hak, kesejahteraan, serta kesempatan kerja bagi tenaga kerja lokal, khususnya masyarakat Desa Sungai Buluh.
Kedatangan massa aksi diterima langsung oleh Sekretaris DPRD Kabupaten Batang Hari, M. Ali, yang mewakili pimpinan dan anggota DPRD yang tengah melaksanakan tugas luar daerah.
Sekretaris DPRD Kabupaten Batang Hari, M. Ali di Muara Bulian, Rabu, mengatakan pihaknya menerima langsung aspirasi masyarakat Desa Sungai Buluh untuk menyampaikan tuntutan secara terbuka dan damai.
“Kami menerima aspirasi masyarakat Desa Sungai Buluh dengan baik. Walaupun pimpinan dan anggota DPRD sedang melaksanakan tugas luar daerah, seluruh aspirasi yang disampaikan hari ini akan kami teruskan kepada pimpinan DPRD untuk ditindaklanjuti sesuai mekanisme yang ada,” katanya.
Ia juga mengapresiasi masyarakat yang tetap menjaga ketertiban selama aksi berlangsung sehingga dialog dapat berjalan dengan lancar dan kondusif.
“Kami mengucapkan terima kasih kepada masyarakat yang telah menyampaikan aspirasi secara tertib dan damai. DPRD pada prinsipnya terbuka terhadap masukan dan aspirasi masyarakat sebagai bagian dari proses demokrasi,”ujarnya.
Aksi unjuk rasa itu menilai keberadaan perusahaan di wilayah itu seharusnya memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar.
Karena itu, aksi unjuk rasa itu meminta perusahaan membuka ruang yang lebih besar bagi tenaga kerja lokal dan memperhatikan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat.
Aspirasi yang berlangsung di ruang pertemuan DPRD itu berjalan kondusif. Dan juga perwakilan warga menyampaikan sejumlah tuntutan dan harapan terkait persoalan yang mereka hadapi di Desa Sungai Buluh, sementara pihak sekretariat DPRD mencatat seluruh poin aspirasi untuk disampaikan kepada unsur pimpinan dewan.
Aksi tersebut berlangsung tertib dengan pengawalan aparat keamanan serta diwarnai dialog antara perwakilan warga dan pihak sekretariat dewan.
