TANJAB BARAT – Suasana tenang di Dusun Karya Baru, Desa Sungai Landak, Kecamatan Senyerang, berubah mencekam pada Rabu (20/05/2026) siang. Sebuah proyek pembangunan jembatan penyeberangan yang diharapkan menjadi akses vital penghubung antar-desa justru berakhir dengan tragedi kemanusiaan. Struktur jembatan ambruk saat proses penurunan (launching) berlangsung, menyebabkan dua pekerja konstruksi hilang terseret arus Sungai Limau yang deras.
Insiden terjadi sekitar pukul 11.30 WIB. Saat itu, tim kontraktor sedang melakukan manuver penurunan rangka jembatan baja yang akan difungsikan sebagai akses kendaraan roda empat antara Desa Sungai Landak menuju Desa Pasar Senin, Kecamatan Pengabuan. Namun, naas, kondisi tanah yang diduga labil akibat curah hujan sebelumnya memicu longsor kecil di area abutment (tumpuan jembatan), yang berujung pada runtuhnya struktur yang sedang diturunkan.

Korban yang dilaporkan hilang hingga berita ini diturunkan adalah I (35) dan N.A (42). Keduanya berada di dekat struktur jembatan saat insiden terjadi.
H.A., seorang rekan kerja yang menjadi saksi mata, menuturkan kronologi kejadian dengan suara bergetar. Menurutnya, ia dan beberapa rekannya sempat menjauh dari lokasi inti pengerjaan untuk beristirahat sejenak di tepi sungai yang lebih aman.
"Saat kami duduk, tiba-tiba terdengar suara dentuman keras seperti besi patah disertai teriakan. Kami langsung berlari ke arah sumber suara. Saat sampai di sana, jembatan sudah ambruk sebagian ke dalam air. Kami melihat ada orang yang hanyut, tapi arus sangat deras dan penuh lumpur akibat longsor, jadi kami tidak bisa menolong," kisah H.A. dengan wajah pucat pasi.
Operasi Pencarian Gabungan Intensif Menyisir Hilir Sungai
Menanggapi kejadian tersebut, Polres Tanjung Jabung Barat segera mengerahkan personel Sat Polairud dipimpin Kasat Polairud IPTU M. Ramadhansyah, P., bersama tim gabungan yang terdiri dari Basarnas, BPBD, TNI, dan relawan masyarakat.
Pencarian difokuskan pada penyisiran aliran Sungai Limau dari titik kejadian hingga ke arah hilir. Tim menggunakan perahu karet dan peralatan sonar sederhana untuk mendeteksi keberadaan korban di dasar sungai yang berkubang lumpur pasca-longsor.
“Arus di Sungai Limau cukup kuat, apalagi setelah ada longsoran tanah yang membuat visibilitas dalam air sangat buruk. Tim kami bekerja ekstra hati-hati namun intensif, menyisir setiap tikungan sungai dan area tanaman air di mana tubuh korban berpotensi tersangkut,” jelas IPTU M. Ramadhansyah di lokasi kejadian.
Hingga malam hari, operasi pencarian masih terus berlanjut dengan penambahan lampu sorot portable untuk memantau permukaan air di malam hari. Keluarga korban terlihat menunggu dengan cemas di posko darurat yang didirikan tak jauh dari lokasi kejadian.
Proyek Vital Terancam Mangkrak, Evaluasi Keamanan Diperlukan
Jembatan yang mengalami kecelakaan ini merupakan proyek strategis daerah yang bertujuan memutus isolasi transportasi antara Kecamatan Senyerang dan Pengabuan. Dengan adanya tragedi ini, Bupati Tanjab Barat, Drs. H. Anwar Sadat, M.Ag., melalui stafnya menyatakan turut berduka cita dan memerintahkan Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) serta instansi terkait untuk segera melakukan evaluasi teknis.
"Keselamatan pekerja adalah prioritas utama. Kami akan menunggu hasil investigasi lengkap mengenai penyebab teknis keruntuhan, apakah murni faktor alam (longsor) atau ada kelalaian dalam prosedur konstruksi," tegas perwakilan Pemkab.
Warga setempat berharap pencarian kedua korban segera membuahkan hasil, sekaligus meminta agar proyek pembangunan jembatan dapat diselesaikan dengan standar keamanan yang lebih ketat demi mencegah terulangnya musibah serupa di masa depan.
