Batangharinews.com - Sebagai bentuk pengakuan Negara terhadap kekayaan budaya tradisional yang hidup dan berkembang di tengah masyarakat, Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari menerima Sertifikat Kekayaan Intelektual Komunal (KIK) untuk lagu daerah/tradisional.
Penyerahan sertifikat berlangsung di Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum Jambi. Sertifikat tersebut diterima Bupati Batang Hari dalam gal ini diwakili oleh Sekretaris Daerah Batang Hari, Mula P. Rambe, S.Sos., M.H pada Selasa (12/05/2026).
Penyerahan Sertifikat KIK ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari pelaksanaan perlindungan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual Komunal atas Ekspresi Budaya Tradisional. Hal ini juga didukung oleh peraturan pemerintah tentang pengelolaan royalti hak cipta lagu dan/atau musik serta inventarisasi kekayaan intelektual komunal.
Kegiatan ini sekaligus menjadi bagian dari agenda kunjungan kerja Menteri Hukum dalam kegiatan "What's Up Campus Call Out (CCO) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB)". Untuk menyukseskan agenda tersebut dan mengoptimalkan program kerja Kantor Wilayah Tahun Anggaran 2026, seluruh Kantor Wilayah diinstruksikan melaksanakan agenda secara virtual dari Sabuga ITB.
Langkah ini merupakan strategi penguatan perlindungan kekayaan intelektual di wilayah, khususnya terhadap ekspresi budaya tradisional agar tidak diklaim pihak lain dan dapat dikelola untuk kesejahteraan masyarakat pemilik budaya.
Kegiatan berlangsung lancar dan dihadiri jajaran Kantor Wilayah Kementerian Hukum Jambi serta perwakilan pemerintah daerah.
