BANGKO – Bupati Merangin, M. Syukur, menyantuni sedikitnya 77 anak yatim berusia di bawah 15 tahun disela kegiatan Pesantren Kilat jenjang SD dalam rangka Gebyar Ramadhan 1447 H / 2026.
Acara tersebut berlangsung khidmat di Masjid Raya Istiqomah, Pasar Bawah Bangko, pada Senin (02/03).
Pemberian santunan ini menjadi bagian dari rangkaian agenda Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin untuk mempererat tali asih sekaligus memberikan dukungan moril kepada anak-anak yatim di awal bulan suci Ramadhan.
Dalam sambutannya, Bupati M. Syukur tidak hanya menekankan pentingnya pendidikan agama bagi generasi muda, tetapi juga menitipkan pesan khusus kepada Badan Kontak Majelis Taklim (BKMT) Kabupaten Merangin.
Beliau berharap syiar Islam tidak hanya berpusat di wilayah perkotaan (Bangko), melainkan merata hingga ke pelosok.
"Saya berharap BKMT bisa ekspansi ke kecamatan-kecamatan untuk menghidupkan pengajian-pengajian. Jadi tidak terpusat hanya di kota, tapi memang harus ada kegiatan rutin pengajian sebulan sekali di tingkat kecamatan," ujar M. Syukur.
Menurut Bupati, penguatan pengajian di tingkat kecamatan dan desa sangat krusial. Selain untuk meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, kegiatan tersebut berfungsi sebagai wadah silaturahmi yang efektif antara pemerintah dan tokoh masyarakat.
"Disamping pengajian, tentu ini menjadi sarana menjaga hubungan silaturahmi dengan tokoh-tokoh masyarakat yang ada di kecamatan maupun di desa-desa," tambahnya.
Kegiatan ini turut dihadiri oleh sejumlah pejabat teras di lingkup Pemkab Merangin, di antaranya Zulhifni (Sekda Merangin), Sukoso (Asisten I Sekda), Agus Salim Idris (Kabag Kesra), Eduar (Camat Bangko), Sri Rezeki (Ketua DWP Kabupaten Merangin), Marzuki Yahya (Ketua BAZNAS  Merangin) dan sejumlah undangan lainnya.
