BANGKO – Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin kembali menunjukkan komitmennya dalam dunia pendidikan. Kali ini, Bupati Merangin, M. Syukur, menyalurkan bantuan perlengkapan sekolah gratis secara simbolis bagi siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di wilayah Tabir dan sekitarnya, Rabu (11/2). Acara yang dipusatkan di SMPN 2 Merangin, Kecamatan Tabir ini merupakan bagian dari program prioritas "Merangin Baru" untuk memastikan tidak ada anak di Kabupaten Merangin yang putus sekolah karena kendala biaya perlengkapan. Dalam laporannya, Kepala Dinas Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Merangin, Misrinaldi, menyampaikan bahwa bantuan tahun anggaran 2025 menyasar 1.705 siswa dengan rincian 1.200 siswa SD dan 505 siswa SMP. Adapun paket bantuan yang diberikan meliputi seragam lengkap (merah-putih/biru-putih), seragam pramuka, ikat pinggang, kaus kaki, hingga tas sekolah. Misrinaldi menegaskan bahwa bantuan ini harus tepat sasaran. "Sesuai arahan Bapak Bupati, kami meminta Kepala Sekolah dan guru memberikan data yang akurat. Kami percaya Bapak/Ibu guru lebih mengetahui kondisi nyata siswa di lapangan. Target kami, seluruh bantuan sudah tuntas disalurkan sebelum memasuki bulan Ramadan," ujar Misrinaldi. Suasana haru sempat menyelimuti lokasi acara saat Bupati M. Syukur memberikan sambutan. Ia menceritakan latar belakangnya yang bukan berasal dari keluarga mampu, sehingga ia sangat memahami beban psikologis anak-anak yang tidak memiliki perlengkapan sekolah layak. "Saya bukan lahir dari anak pejabat. Dulu sepatu saya cuma satu, dicuci setiap minggu. Saya tidak ingin anak-anak Merangin minder atau malu ke sekolah karena bajunya lusuh atau tidak punya tas. Kepekaan sosial inilah yang harus dimiliki pemimpin dan tenaga pendidik," tegas Bupati M. Syukur. Bupati juga menitipkan pesan kepada para Kepala Sekolah agar tidak membeda-bedakan perlakuan antara anak pejabat dan anak masyarakat kurang mampu. Ia mengingatkan bahwa pendidikan bukan sekadar transfer ilmu, melainkan tentang rasa dan kepedulian. "Jadilah orang tua bagi mereka. Jangan bawa sentimen pribadi ke pekerjaan. Pastikan bantuan ini sampai ke tangan yang benar-benar membutuhkan. Jika perlu, Pak Kadis antar langsung ke rumah warga sebagai bentuk dukungan moril," tambahnya. Menutup arahannya, Bupati kembali mengingatkan bahwa pendidikan anak adalah tanggung jawab bersama. Meski pemerintah memberikan bantuan materiil, peran orang tua dalam mendidik karakter dan spiritual anak di rumah tetap menjadi kunci utama. Ia berharap melalui program ini, semangat belajar siswa di Kabupaten Merangin terus meningkat dan orang tua merasa terbantu di tengah keterbatasan ekonomi.
