BANGKO - Selasa pagi (27/1), sinar mentari belum sepenuhnya garang. Namun, Gedung Serbaguna Desa Pinang Merah Kecamatan Pamenang Barat sudah riuh oleh aroma minyak kayu putih dan tawa yang renyah. 
Di salah satu sudut ruangan, tangan-tangan keriput sibuk merapikan kain hitam licin. Itu adalah jubah wisuda. Dan pemilik tangan itu bukanlah seorang pemuda, melainkan Mbah Saniem.
Di usianya yang ke-92, jubah itu terasa sedikit kebesaran di tubuh mungilnya. Namun, saat ia menyentuh kain itu, ada binar yang tak sanggup disembunyikan oleh katarak tipis di matanya.
Bagi banyak orang, angka 92 adalah waktu untuk diam, duduk di kursi goyang, dan menunggu senja datang dalam sepi. Namun bagi Mbah Saniem, sepi adalah musuh yang harus dilawan. Baginya, tembok rumah terasa terlalu sempit untuk menghabiskan sisa usia.
Itulah mengapa, setiap kali jadwal kelas Sekolah Lansia Tangguh (Selantang) tiba, Mbah Saniem akan bersiap dengan semangat yang melampaui fisiknya. Langkah kakinya memang tak lagi sigap, sedikit menyeret dan gemetar, namun semangatnya tak pernah pudar.
Baginya, Selantang bukan sekadar tempat mendengarkan penyuluhan kesehatan atau materi dari para ahli. Sekolah itu adalah tempat ia kembali merasa "ada". 
Di sana, ia bertemu kawan lama, bertukar cerita tentang cucu, dan tertawa bersama tentang hal-hal kecil. Di sekolah itu, Mbah Saniem sedang merayakan hidup.
Puncak dari perjalanan itu terjadi hari ini. Saat namanya dipanggil, seisi ruangan seolah menahan napas. Mbah Saniem bukan hadir sebagai wali untuk cicitnya. Ia adalah sang bintang utama.
Bupati Merangin, M. Syukur, melangkah mendekat. Ada raut haru yang tak bisa disembunyikan oleh sang pejabat saat menatap sosok di depannya. 
Di sampingnya, Ibu Lavita Syukur dan Ibu Sri Rizky tampak berkaca-kaca melihat keteguhan itu. Saat toga disematkan dan piagam berpindah tangan, tepuk tangan pecah memenuhi ruangan.
"Inilah definisi belajar tak mengenal usia yang sesungguhnya," ujar Bupati dengan nada yang bergetar bangga. "Mbah Saniem mengajarkan kita bahwa pendidikan tidak memiliki tanggal kedaluwarsa."
Saat prosesi berakhir, Mbah Saniem melangkah keluar aula dengan ijazah di pelukannya. Bagi orang lain, itu mungkin hanya selembar kertas. Namun bagi Mbah Saniem, itu adalah bukti kemenangan—kemenangan atas rasa jenuh, kemenangan atas usia, dan kemenangan atas kesepian.
Ia pulang menuju bukan sebagai seorang nenek tua. Ia pulang sebagai seorang wisudawati. Ia membuktikan bahwa selama napas masih berhembus, ruang kelas akan selalu terbuka bagi siapa saja yang hatinya masih ingin belajar.
Di usia hampir satu abad, Mbah Saniem baru saja menuliskan babak baru dalam hidupnya: bahwa menjadi tua bukanlah akhir, melainkan hanya cara lain untuk terus bersinar.
