Bangko-Bupati Merangin H M Syukur secara bertahap terus berupaya melancarkan jalan-jalan dalam Kabupaten Merangin, dari desa sampai perkotaan dengan pengaspalan, pengerasan fungsional hingga penyiapan badan jalan. Rehabilitasi dan rekontruksi pengaspalan jalan dan pengerasan fungsional serta penyiapan badan jalan tersebut, dipantau langsung oleh bupati bersama Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR), Minggu (16/11). ‘’Alhamdulillah sebagian dari pengaspalan, pengerasan fungsional dan penyiapan badan jalan itu telah rampung dan telah lancar dilalui masyarakat. Intinya bagaiman jalan-jalan di Merangin lancar dilalui,’’ujar Bupati didampingi Kabid Bina Marga Arya Asghara. Perbaikan jalan yang dipantau bupati tersebut, rehabilitasi dan rekontruksi pengaspalan jalan Simpang Margoyoso – Batas Tebo sepanjang 1.370 meter, pengaspalan jalan SPC – Bungo Tanjung sepanjang 513 meter. Selain itu, pengerasan fungsional jalan SPC – Bungo Tanjung sepanjang 1.000 meter, penyiapan badan jalan SPC – Bungo Tanjung sepanjang 7,9 Km, pengerasan fungsional jalan Ulak Makam – Koto Rayo sepanjang 1000 meter. Tidak hanya itu, bupati juga melewati jalan-jalan yang pengerasan fungsionalnya telah rampung, seperti jalan Pasar Rantau Panjang – Rantau Limau Manis sepanjang 1.843 meter. Sebelumnya bupati juga memantau pengaspalan jalan Simpang Gelanggang – Durian Lecah sepanjang 520 meter, pengaspalan jalan Kramat I Pamenang sepanjang 196 meter. Sedangkan dalam Kota Bangko, terdapat empat titik pengaspalan jalan yaitu, Jalan Diponegoro, Jalan Rangkayo Hitam, pemeliharaan jalan dalam kota dan Jalan Simpang Lubuk Gaung – Rantau Alai sepanjang 350 meter. Atas perbaikan jalan tersebut, masyarakat mengucapkan terimakasih kepada bupati Merangin, karena jalan yang menjadi ‘urat nadi’ perekonomian mereka telah lancar dilalui. Anak-anak pergi sekolah juga lancar. ‘’Semangat Pak Bupati. Alhamdulillah jalan kami sangat nyaman dilalui dan terimakasih banyak atas perbaikan jalan ini. Mantap Pak Bupati,’’ujar Maskur seorang pengendara sepeda motor yang bergoncengan dengan Faisal rekannya. Hal senada juga diungkapkan Ny Deby, seorang pengendara sepeda motor lainnya. Ibu beranak satu itu berterimakasih kepada bupati, karena jalannya tidak becek lagi dan mulus dilalui ketika mengantar anak pergi sekolah.
