BANGKO – Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin melaksanakan upacara pengibaran bendera Merah Putih dalam rangka memperingati Hari Pahlawan 10 November 2025 di halaman Kantor Bupati Merangin, Senin (10/11). Dengan stelan jas hitam, Bupati Merangin, H. M. Syukur, S.H., M.H., bertindak sebagai Inspektur Upacara yang mengusung tema nasional "Pahlawanku Teladanku, Terus Bergerak Melanjutkan Perjuangan." Turut hadir mendampingi Bupati, Wakil Bupati Merangin Drs. H. A. Khafidh, unsur Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda), Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Merangin Zulhifni, serta para Kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD). Dalam acara puncak, Bupati M. Syukur membacakan amanat tertulis dari Menteri Sosial yang menekankan pentingnya meneladani semangat kepahlawanan. Pahlawan bukan sekadar nama yang terukir di batu nisan, melainkan cahaya yang menerangi jalan bangsa. "Kemerdekaan lahir dari kesabaran, keberanian, kejujuran, kebersamaan, dan keikhlasan," ujar Bupati saat membacakan sambutan Mensos. Lebih lanjut, ia menjabarkan tiga hal utama yang dapat diteladani dari para pahlawan. Pertama, pahlawan itu sabar menempuh ilmu, menyusun strategi, menunggu momentum, dan membangun kebersamaan di tengah segala keterbatasan. Kedua, pahlawan itu lebih mengutamakan kepentingan bangsa. Para pahlawan tidak pberebut jabatan atau menuntut balasan setelah kemerdekaan diraih, melainkan kembali ke rakyat, mengajar, membangun, dan melanjutkan pengabdian. Terakhir para pahlawan berjuang untuk generasi yang akan datang dan menjadikan perjuangan tersebut sebagai bagian dari ibadah, di mana menyerah berarti meninggalkan amanah kemanusiaan. "Di masa kini, perjuangan tidak lagi dengan bambu runcing, melainkan dengan ilmu, empati, dan pengabdian. Namun, semangatnya tetap sama; membela yang lemah, memperjuangkan keadilan, dan memastikan tidak ada satu pun anak bangsa yang tertinggal dari arus kemajuan," tegasnya. Usai pelaksanaan upacara bendera, Bupati Merangin bersama unsur Forkopimda melanjutkan kegiatan dengan melaksanakan ziarah ke Taman Makam Pahlawan. Rombongan melakukan penaburan bunga dan memanjatkan doa, sebagai bentuk penghormatan terakhir atas jasa dan pengorbanan para pejuang bangsa.
