Bangko-Pemkab Merangin dengan Kantor Wilayah (Kanwil) Direktorat Jenderal Pemasyarakatan (Ditjenpas) Jambi, melakukan penandatanganan Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Selasa (21/10). Penandatanganan kesepakatan bersama yang bertujuan untuk menguatkan sinergitas dalam mendukung penyelenggaraan dan pembinaan pemasyarakatan tersebut, berlangsung khidmat di Auditorium rumah dinas bupati Merangin. Pada kesempatan itu, bupati juga menyaksikan penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerjasama (PKS), antara Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) Kelas II B Bangko dengan para kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) di jajaran Pemkab Merangin. Penandatanganan itu merupakan tindak lanjut dari transformasi linier Kabinet Merah Putih, yang salah satunya menyikapi perubahan nomenklatur dari Kemenkumham, menjadi Kementerian Imigrasi dan Pemasyarakatan. ‘’Terimakasih Pak Kanwil sudah datang ke Merangin. Kami menyambut baik kerjasama ini, apalagi mungkin ada 90 persen penghuni Lapas warga Merangin. Melalui bimbinan itu warga binaan nanti semakin mundah beradaptasi di luar,’’ ujar Bupati. Dalam candaannya, bupati mengharapkan agar Lapas tidak terus-menerus membangun memperbanyak ruang tahanan, karena konotasinya semakin bertambah jumlah warga binaanya. Pembinaan keterampilan dan keahlian kepada warga binaan itu terang bupati, sangat penting. Bupati mempersilahkan semua OPD menindaklanjuti MoU, melakukan pembinaan ke warga binaan baik pertanian, perkebunan dan bidang lainnya. ‘’Saya minta para kepala OPD, perjanjian ini bukan sekadar seremonial belaka, tetapi harus diimplementasikan secara nyata, demi mewujudkan warga binaan yang terampil, mampu menjalani kehidupan sosial lebih baik lagi setelah bebas nanti,’’ harap Bupati. Mengingat sebagian besar warga binaan itu dari kasus Narkoba, bupati mengingatkan jajarannya jangan sekali-kali terlibat bahaya pengaruh Narkoba. ‘’Jangan nian satupun Aparatur Sipil Negara kita terlibat Narkoba,’’ pinta Bupati. Terpisah, Kepala Kanwil Ditjenpas Jambi Hidayat saat dibincangi Diskominfo, sangat berterimakasih kepada bupati Merangin dan jajarannya yang sangat mensupport, MoU yang dilakukan. Melalui MoU itu terang Kanwil, bupati telah mengoptimalkan fungsi pembinaan yang luar biasa untuk warga binaan. Kolaborasi tersebut menunjang program Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo, agar bisa lebih baik lagi. ‘’Warga binaan membutuhkan keahlian dan keterampilan, agar bisa mendapatkan pekerjaan setelah bebas nanti. Ini tentunya harus disupport Pemerintah Daerah, untuk mempersiapkan mereka kembali ke masyarakat,’’pinta Hidayat. Dipenghujung acara, Kanwil menyerahkan Merchandise kepada bupati Merangin dan sebaliknya, bupati juga menyerahkan Merchandise Merangin ke Kanwil dibarengi senyum khas H M Syukur penuh keakraban.
