Selamat lanjut wabup kepada Asmadi sebagai ketua PWI Merangin, Damsir Karim sebagai Sekretaris, Mujiburrahman sebagai Bendahara dan para pengurus PWI Merangin lainnya yang baru dilantik.
Melalui kebersamaan antara Pemkab Merangin dengan PWI Merangin yang seiring dan sejalan, wabup yakin kedepan Kabupaten Merangin akan jauh lebih baik lagi menuju Merangin Baru (Berdayasaing Akuntabel, Revormis dan Unggul).
Wabup juga mengajak PWI Merangin melalui para wartawan-wartawan profesionalnya, untuk bersama mengedukasi berbagai program Pemerintah kepada masyarakat luas.
‘’Kementerian Pertanian saat  ini sedang gencar melalukan program Hilirisasi Kopi, akan dibangun sebanyak 26 Pabrik Kopi di Indonesia, dua diantaranya berada di Provinsi Jambi dan kita harapkan satu saja bisa dibangun di Merangin,’’terang Wabup.
Terpisah, Ketua PWI Jambi H Ridwan Agus mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Bupati Merangin H M Syukur melalui wabup, yang telah memberikan dukungan baik fisik maupun non fisik, guna terlaksanannya acara pelantikan PWI Kabupaten Merangin.
‘’Saya merasa sangat gembira karena pada kesempatan ini dapat bertemu wabup berserta pejabat di jajaran Pemkab Merangin. PWI sudah tentu mempunyai jiwa patriot dan cinta tanah air, termasuk Kabupaten Merangin,’’terang H Ridwan Agus.
Sementara itu, Asmadi ketua PWI Merangin menegaskan siap bersinergi dengan Pemkab Merangin dan juga akan bersama-sama para pengurus dan anggota untuk membesarkan PWI di Kabupaten Merangin.
Tampak hadir pada acara pelantikan ketua dan pengurus PWI Merangin tersebut, Kapolres Merangin AKBP Kiki Firmansyah, Anggota DPRD Provinsi Jambi Izhar Majid, Kepala Kemenag Merangin H Husaini, Staf Ahli Bupati Merangin Hendri Widodo.
Hadir juga Komandan Satuan Batalyon B Pelopor Brimob Polda Jambi di Pamenang diwakili Pasi LOG AKP Haryanto Sitepu, Kaban Kesbangpol Mulyono, Sekretaris Dinas Kominfo Merangin Teguh J Jagat, Rusli dari Inspektorat Merangin dan undangan lainnya.
