Ini menyusul telah dilaunchingnya perlindungan JSK, untuk sebanyak 8.901 orang tenaga kerja di Kabupaten Merangin, yang  berlangsung di Aula Kantor Bupati Merangin.
 ‘’Alhamdulillah hari ini tunai sudah janji Pemkab Merangin terhadap 1.937 orang Aparatur Pemerintah Desa, 1.039 orang BPD, 5.125 orang kelembagaan desa masing-masing desa 25 orang dan 800 petani bagi hasil sawit,’’ujar Bupati.
Bupati berharap sinergi yang baik ini dapat terus ditingkatkan lagi, dengan memperluas manfaat perlindungan jaminan sosial ketenagakerjaan baik secara kuantitas maupun kualitas kelembagaan dan kemasyarakatan.

Kepala Kantor BPJS Ketenagakerjaan wilayah Sumbagsel Muhyidin menjelaskan, program ini merupakan wujud nyata perlindungan bagi tenaga kerja di Kabupaten Merangin.
Sedangkan anggota DPRD Merangin Ashari Elwakas mengatakan, Dewan  berkomitmen menjamin kesehatan seluruh pekerja dan akan mendorong BPJS melalui pokir-pokir yang dimiliki di DPRD Merangin.
Tampak  hadir, Kajari Merangin diwakili Kasubsi Pidum Ahmad Yantomi, Dandim 0420/Sarko melalui Kasdim  Mayor Inf Usman, para kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah dan para Camat.
Hadir juga, Wakil Kepala Bidang Kepersertaan Adi hendrarto, Kepala Kantor Cabang BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Muaro Bungo Bagus Teja Harmoko, Kepala cabang Merangin Bangko Dimas Agung Ibrahim dan Kepala cabang Sarolangun Aris Tri Saputra.
