Bangko-Warga Desa Durian Rambun Kecamatan Muara Siau, beramai-ramai turun ke ladang menanam padi. Lebih dari 73 kepala keluarga berikut anggota keluarganya, terlibat pada tradisi turun-temurun warga setempat tersebut. Bupati Merangin H M Syukur menyambut gembira kegiatan tersebut. Menurut bupati ramai-ramai turun ke ladang itu merupakan budaya yang sudah turun temurun dilakukan masyarakat Merangin salah satunya warga Desa Durian Rambun. ‘’Tradisi budaya itu dilakukan dari nenek moyang kita dulu, untuk meningkatkan ketahanan pangan. Kegiatan itu dilakukan secara bergiliran, dari kebun keluarga satu ke kebun keluarga lainnya,’’ujar Bupati, Sabtu (04/10). Bupati berharap Trandisi Budaya itu terus dilestarikan, terlebih sekarang ini Presiden Prabowo tengah gencar melakukan ketahanan pangan, sehingga kegiatan tersebut akan sangat mendukung pogram Asta Cita. Terpisah, Masyhuri salah seorang tokoh masyarakat setempat yang terlibat langsung penanaman padi ladang itu menjelaskan, luas lahan yang mereka tanami mencapai kurang lebih 70 hektar. ‘’Kegiatan ini merupakan Program Ketahanan Pangan Non 20% dana Desa Durian Rambun, tapi kegiatan alami dari masyarakat yang dilakukan secara turun temurun. Melalui kegiatan ini semakin meningkatkan ketahanan pangan warga,’’ujar Masyhuri. Untuk bibit padi yang ditanam Jenis Padi ladang lokal, dengan umur tanam sampai dengan panen selama lima bulan. Kegiatan tanam padi ladang ini melibatkan hampir semua warga Desa Durian Rambun.
