SAROLANGUN - Bupati Sarolangun H Hurmin optimis penambahan luas tanam jagung seluas 600 Hektare di Kabupaten Sarolangun  segera terlaksana. 

H Hurmin mengatakan bahwa saat ini Kabupaten Sarolangun telah sukses melakukan penanaman di 300 hektare lahan.

"Sudah 300 hektar dari target kita 600," kata Bupati Sarolangun," kata H Hurmin usai melakukan penanaman bibit jagung di lahan seluas 1,5 hektar di Batang Asai. 

Bang Aji begitu H Hurmin akrab disapa, menghimbau seluruh Kepala Desa untuk senantiasa mensuport program pemerintah pusat.

"Ini program yang sangat bagus dan telah dilakukan kajian yang matang, Kita selaku pemerintah di tingkat bawah harus memastikan itu terlaksana," ungkap Hurmin. 

Tak hanya jagung, Para Kepala Desa di himbau untuk mengembangkan apa yang menjadi potensi ketahanan pangan di daerah masing-masing.

"Ada jagung, padi dan kopi. Tergantung potensi daerah itu apa," pungkasnya.
