SAROLANGUN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Sarolangun kembali menerima penghargaan sebagai Kabupaten Peduli Hak Asasi Manusia (HAM) dari Kementrian HAM (Kemenham) Republik Indonesia. Tahun 2024.

Penghargaan ini merupakan yang ke empat kalinya bagi Pamkab Sarolangun 
berdasarkan keputusan Mentri HAM Natalius Pigai dengan nomor : MHA-01.HA.02.01.01 Tahun 2024.

Wakil Bupati Sarolangun Gerry Trisatwika, mengatakan, kepedulian HAM ini telah dibuktikan setiap lingkup Pemerintah, pelayanan masyarakat, kebijakan pemerintah dan peraturan-peraturan yang ada di Kabupaten Sarolangun telah mencakup aspek pemenuhan HAM.

"Semua lini kehidupan kita ini, semua terkait terhadap HAM. Dan saya yakin kita Sarolangun bisa membuktikan bahwa kabupaten Sarolangun sudah empat kali  mendapatkan penghargaan Kabupaten/Kota Peduli HAM,"kata Wabup Gerry Kamis (11/9). 

Kabupaten Peduli HAM lanjutnya, adalah program penghargaan yang diberikan kepada pemerintah daerah kabupaten/kota sebagai wujud komitmen mereka dalam menghormati, melindungi, memenuhi, menegakkan, dan memajukan hak asasi manusia (HAM) di Kabupaten Sarolangun. 

"Penghargaan ini, untuk mendorong pemerintah daerah dalam melaksanakan P5 HAM (Penghormatan, Perlindungan, Pemenuhan, Penegakan, dandan Pemajuan HAM) secara lebih baik,"ujarnya.

"Dan tahun 2025 ini harus kita pertahankan,"Gerry menambahkan.
