Bangko - Bupati Merangin, H. M Syukur didampingi Sekda Merangin Fajarman, membuka pembinaan dan pelatihan lembaga adat desa se-Kabupaten Merangin, di Aula kantor bupati Merangin, Selasa (15/7) Pelatihan lembaga adat desa yang diikuti sebanyak 175 orang peserta lembaga adat desa itu, dihadiri Ketua Lembaga Adat Melayu Kabupaten Merangin Azrai, Kadis PMD Andrei Fransusman dan undangan lainnya. Dikatakan bupati pada sambutan pembuka acara, salah satu tujuan dilakukannya pelatihan lembaga adat desa, untuk memperkuat posisi lembaga adat desa dan kecamatan dalam meningkatkan sumber daya manusia. Selain itu guna mewujudkan sinergi antar budaya dan pembagunan daerah. ‘’Salah satu visi misi kami adalah Merangin pintar dan beradat. Kedepan bagimana untuk melestarikan adat ini bisa dituangkan dalam kurikulum pendidikan di tingkat SD dan SMP,’’ujar Bupati. Jadi lanjut bupati, dalam seminggu itu ada satu kali dilakukan proses belajar mengajar adat istiadat, kehingga adat budaya Melayu yang dijalankan dapat terus dilestarikan sampai ke generasi berikutnya. Tidak hanya itu, intinya bapati ingin program lembaga adat Melayu Kabupaten Merangin, sejalan dengan program Pemerintah Daerah, sejalan dengan program pendidikan. Bupati tidak membedakan adat antar suku. ‘’Saya sebagai bupati akan berkomitmen melestarikan adat dan menghormati adat. Nanti meskipun warga Merangin asal Jawa dalam melakukan pesta perkawinan menggunakan adat Jawa, tapi di acara pembuka tetap memakai petitah-petitih seloko budaya Melayu,’’harap Bupati. Untuk itu jelas bupati perlu dibuat peraturan adatnya. Diakui bupati, selama lima bulan menjabat bupati, banyak masalah-masalah yang behubungan soal adat terjadi, termasuk masalah yang menimpa kades sendiri, sebagai ketua lembaga adat desa.
