Merangin yang menyebabkan kemacetan lalulintas serta terkait keluhan masyarakat perihal kualitas maupun kuantitas BBM yang di perjual belikan oleh SPBU.
Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan di ruang Banggar DPRD Kab. Merangin tersebut turut dihadiri oleh Wakil Ketua 2 DPRD Kab. Merangin beserta anggota Komisi II DPRD Kab. Merangin, Perwakilan Polres Merangin dan perwakilan Disperindag Kab. Merangin. 
Setelah rapat dengar pendapat kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pengecekan tera di salah satu SPBU. Kegiatan pengecekan tersebut dipimpin oleh Kasat Reskrim Polres Merangin AKP Mulyono, SH yang didampingi oleh Kasat Lantas AKP Iwan Wahyudi,SH, beserta anggota dan dari Dinas instansi terkait. 
Dalam proses pengecekan tera tersebut, personel Polres Merangin bekerja sama dengan pihak terkait untuk memastikan bahwa setiap transaksi jual beli bahan bakar di SPBU dilakukan secara transparan dan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku. Hal ini dilakukan demi menjaga kepercayaan dan kepuasan konsumen serta mencegah terjadinya kerugian akibat penyalahgunaan atau penyimpangan dalam penjualan bahan bakar.
Sementara itu hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan tera ulang alat ukur dan alat perlengkapan pompa ukur BBM pada SPBU 24-373-74, Jumlah Alat Ukur dan Alat Perlengkapan yang ditera ulang SAH sebanyak : 4 Nozzle (2 Nozzle Pertamax Minus Ambang Batas 95 Ml dan 2 Nozzle Pertalite Minus Ambang Batas 75 Ml).
Dengan kesimpulan bahwa Pompa Ukur BBM pada SPBU 24-373-74 masih dalam Batas Toleransi dan dimaklumi sehingga Pompa BBM pada SPBU 24-373-74 Waskita Karya dinyatakan SAH untuk digunakan.
Menyikapi pengecekan Tera pada SPBU secara langsung, Kapolres Merangin AKBP Roni Syahendra, SH., S.I.K., M.Si melalui Kasubsi Penmas AIPTU Ruly.S.Sy.,M.H. menyampaikan bahwa pengecekan tera ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mencegah terjadinya penyimpangan dalam penjualan bahan bakar oleh pihak SPBU yang dapat merugikan masyarakat.
”Bahwa kegiatan ini merupakan bagian penting dari tugas kepolisian dalam memastikan transaksi yang adil di SPBU yang ada di Kabupaten Merangin, dan masyarakat atau konsumen dapat menerima sesuai dengan haknya. Kedepannya kita akan melakukan pengecekan terhadap SPBU-SPBU lain yang ada di wilayah hukum Polres Merangin guna menghindari terjadinya penyimpangan dalam penjualan," terang Kasubsi.
Ruly juga mengimbau kepada seluruh manager SPBU yang ada di Merangin agar dapat mengelola dan mengatur kendaraan yang antri di SPBU dengan baik, untuk mengindari hal – hal yang tidak diinginkan.
”Selain pengecekan terhadap tera SPBU, kami juga mengimbau kepada seluruh manager SPBU yang ada di Merangin agar dapat mengelola dan mengatur kendaraan yang antri di SPBU dengan baik, sehingga tidak menyebabkan kemacetan guna mengindari hal – hal yang tidak diinginkan," tutup Ruly.
