JAMBI — Komandan Kodim 0420/Sarko, Letkol Inf Suyono, S.Sos. Hadir dalam menyambut kedatangan Kepala Staf Angkatan Darat (Kasad) Jenderal TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, M.Sc. dalam kunjungan kerjanya ke Korem 042/Garuda Putih (Gapu) Jambi pada Selasa pagi (3/6/2025). Kegiatan ini menjadi momen penting dalam memperkuat sinergi antara pimpinan tertinggi TNI AD dengan jajaran satuan di wilayah Provinsi Jambi.
Dalam kunjungan tersebut, Kasad memberikan pengarahan langsung kepada para prajurit dan satuan kewilayahan di jajaran Korem 042/Gapu. Dalam sambutannya, Jenderal Maruli menekankan pentingnya semangat latihan, kedisiplinan, serta pembinaan mental dan keluarga sebagai fondasi utama prajurit TNI AD yang tangguh dan berintegritas.
“Untuk menjadi juara kalian harus latihan dengan sungguh-sungguh, jangan takut belajar. Bina kemampuan dengan baik, disiplin, kalian pasti bisa,” tegas Kasad.
“Saya selalu sampaikan, kita dari awal sudah bersumpah untuk berbakti kepada negara dan bangsa. Bina anak-anak kita dengan baik — bagaimana sekolahnya, bagaimana keimanannya, dan lain sebagainya,” lanjutnya.
Selain itu, Jenderal Maruli juga memberikan peringatan kepada seluruh prajurit agar menjauhi segala bentuk kegiatan ilegal, seperti judi online, penyalahgunaan narkoba, serta tindakan melanggar hukum lainnya. Ia menegaskan bahwa tindakan semacam itu tidak hanya mencoreng nama pribadi, tetapi juga institusi TNI secara keseluruhan.
Usai pengarahan, kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan pemberian tali asih kepada para veteran, warakauri (Warakawuri), serta anak-anak yatim — sebagai wujud perhatian dan kepedulian sosial TNI terhadap para pejuang dan generasi penerus bangsa. Sebagai rangkaian akhir kunjungan, Kasad beserta rombongan bertolak ke RT 03, Desa Sarang Burung, Kecamatan Jaluko, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi, untuk meninjau langsung program TNI Manunggal Air, sebuah inisiatif strategis dalam mendukung ketersediaan air bersih bagi masyarakat pedesaan.
Kehadiran Jenderal Maruli Simanjuntak di Korem 042/Gapu ini memberikan semangat baru bagi prajurit dan menjadi simbol komitmen TNI AD dalam membangun wilayah serta mendekatkan diri kepada rakyat.
