JAMBI - Membangun ekosistem olahraga prestasi yang kompetitif di tingkat regional hingga nasional tidak bisa berjalan sendiri. Dibutuhkan sinergi kuat antara kebijakan yang jelas, dukungan pendanaan yang berkelanjutan, dan dukungan publik yang masif.
Di tengah keterbatasan anggaran, KONI Provinsi Jambi memilih jalan kolaborasi. Kemitraan strategis dengan media massa dan dukungan dari sektor swasta melalui program tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan, kini menjadi kunci untuk menghidupkan kembali kejayaan olahraga Jambi.
Langkah konkret itu ditunjukkan lewat kegiatan _Coffee Morning_ bersama insan pers yang digelar KONI Provinsi Jambi, Jumat (31/7). Diskusi santai ini dibuka langsung oleh Ketua Umum KONI Jambi, Mat Sanusi, didampingi Wakil Ketua Umum V Sukendro, Wakil Ketua Umum VIII Aswan Hidayat, Sekretaris Umum Muhammad Ali, serta puluhan jurnalis olahraga senior di Jambi.
Dalam sambutannya, Mat Sanusi menyampaikan apresiasi atas peran media yang selama ini konsisten mengawal perkembangan olahraga daerah.
"Tinta pers punya kekuatan besar untuk mengangkat harkat dan martabat olahraga Jambi ke panggung nasional. Tanpa peran aktif rekan-rekan media, prestasi anak-anak Jambi akan sulit dikenal dan diapresiasi publik," ujarnya.
Ia juga tidak menampik tantangan besar soal anggaran. Untuk mengatasinya, KONI Jambi tengah merancang skema kerja sama alternatif dengan dunia usaha, khususnya perusahaan besar dan lembaga hulu migas di Jambi melalui program "bapak angkat" cabang olahraga.
"Kami berharap ada kepedulian nyata dari perusahaan-perusahaan besar di Jambi, seperti PetroChina dan SKK Migas, untuk ikut membina cabang olahraga. Jika program bapak angkat ini bisa kita wujudkan, saya optimis target kita menembus 10 besar di PON bisa tercapai," jelas Mat Sanusi.
Untuk mencapai target itu, KONI Jambi tidak menunggu. Fokus jangka pendek diarahkan pada kejuaraan-kejuaraan pemanasan, mulai dari PON Bela Diri di Sulawesi Utara pada Oktober mendatang, hingga Babak Kualifikasi PON awal 2027.
Wakil Ketua Umum V KONI Jambi, Sukendro, menambahkan bahwa proses seleksi atlet untuk PON Bela Diri Sulut kali ini dibuat jauh lebih ketat dibanding tahun sebelumnya di Kudus.
"Kami ingin memastikan atlet yang berangkat adalah yang benar-benar siap secara fisik, mental, dan teknik untuk merebut medali. Tidak ada lagi istilah setengah matang," tegasnya.
Menurut Sukendro, selain pembinaan di pelatnas, dukungan psikologis dari pemberitaan positif media juga sangat penting.
"Dukungan lewat tulisan dan berita yang membangun akan jadi vitamin bagi mental bertanding atlet Jambi di arena nanti," tutupnya. (*)
