Bangko–Kirab Budaya Nasional yang digelar Paguyuban Keluarga Jawa Merangin (PKJM) dalam rangka Gebyar Suro, berlangsung luar biasa ramai dan spektakuler, menampilkan sekitar 30 grup Kuda Lumping, Reog dan sendra tari yang memukau.
Hal tersebut dikatakan Bupati Merangin H M Syukur, didampingi Gubernur Jambi, diwakili Kepala Badan Pengembangan Sumber Daya Manusia (BPSDM) Provinsi Jambi H Mukti, Ketua DPRD Herman Effendi, Sekda Zulhifni, Sekda Tebo Sindi, Dandim 0420/Sarko Letkol Inf Yakhya Wisnu Arianto dan Kajari diwakili Kasi Intel Tri Sutrisno usai acara, Minggu (12/7).
Bupati juga didampingi Ketua Dewan Masjid Indonesia Kabupaten Merangin H Arfandi Ibnu Hajar, Ketua Umum PKJM Amir Ahmad, Ketua Panitian Pelaksana Akhoi dan para pengurus PKJM.
‘’Di tengah perkembangan jaman dan teknologi sekarang ini, memang kita tidak boleh kehilangan jati diri kita. Adat istiadat dan budaya kita harus terus dilestarikan dan Kirab budaya PKJM ini sungguh luar biasa,’’ujar Bupati.
Antusias masyarakat Merangin yang menyaksikan Kirab Budaya ini lanjut bupati, luar biasa ramai. Padahal panitia pelaksana juga sudah membatasi jumlah peserta, tapi tetap membludak ramai, termasuk bupati yang menyaksikan sampai tuntas.
‘’Ini artinya masyarakat masih sangat mencintai dan melestarikan budayanya sendiri. Alhamdulillah, jika kondisinya seperti ini terus kita tidak akan kehilangan jadi diri bangsa. Merangin memang kaya akan budaya,’’terang Bupati.
Cinta budaya itu pinta bupati, harus terus dipertahankan, jangan sampai hilang karena berdampak pada hilangnya jati diri bangsa. Generasi muda harus cinta budayanya sendiri, jangan sampai budaya luar leluasa bisa masuk.
Kirab Budaya tersebut dilepas Sekda Merangin Zulhifni dari depan Kantor Bupati Merangin. Arak-arakan budaya itu long march ke jalan jalur tiga sebelah kiri melewati depan Kantor Dinas PUPR, depan Pengadilan hingga finish di Car Free Day (CFD).
Di kawasan CFD itu berdiri panggung kehormatan, dihadapan bupati, sekda dan para tamu undangan lainnya, masing-masing peserta beratraksi menunjukan kebolehannya tampil memukau, disaksikan ratusan penonton.
