BANGKO - Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin menggelar agenda sarapan dan diskusi bersama Tim Lapangan Pra-Revalidasi Kawasan Merangin Jambi UNESCO Global Geopark (UUGGp), di Rumah Dinas Bupati Merangin pada Kamis (09/07).
Diskusi yang dipimpin langsung oleh Sekretaris Daerah Kabupaten Merangin, Zulhifni mewakili Bupati M. Syukur itu digelar sebagai bentuk komitmen lintas sektor dalam menjaga serta mempertahankan status Geopark Merangin di kancah internasional.
Acara ini dihadiri oleh jajaran pejabat teras Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin. Tampak hadir mendampingi di antaranya Asisten I Sukoso, Asisten III Henizor, Kadis Kominfo Ahmad Khoirudin,Kadis Pariwisata Suherman, Kepala Bappeda Zainal Abidin, Kadis Dikbud Misrinaldi, Sekretaris Dinas PUPR, Sarbaini serta sejumlah pejabat daerah lainnya.
Sementara itu, Tim Lapangan Pra-Revalidasi yang turun langsung terdiri dari gabungan berbagai instansi pusat, daerah, dan akademisi. Di antaranya adalah perwakilan dari Bappenas (3 orang), Komite Nasional Geopark Indonesia (KNGI) (1 orang), Kemenpar (1 orang), Kemenko Infraswil (2 orang), Universitas Jambi (2 orang), Balai Bahasa Jambi (1 orang), BPK Jambi (3 orang), Badan Pengelola (5 orang), PU Provinsi Jambi (5 orang), OPD Teknis Kabupaten (4 orang), serta Budpar Provinsi Jambi (6 orang).
Usai diskusi, Sekda Zulhifni menyatakan bahwa kehadiran tim pra-penilaian ini sangat krusial bagi masa depan Geopark Merangin.
"Kami menyambut baik kedatangan tim pra-penilaian Geopark Merangin ini. Tentu di dalam penilaian ini ada kriteria-kriteria ketat yang harus dipenuhi, baik oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin maupun Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi," ujarnya.
Ia menegaskan bahwa kerja sama yang utuh antara pemerintah kabupaten dan provinsi akan terus digenjot agar Geopark Merangin tidak hanya lolos revalidasi, tetapi juga terjaga kelestariannya.
"Kami akan bantu secara utuh sehingga Geopark Merangin ini tetap terlestarikan dan menjadi ikon bumi," tambahnya.
Ketika ditanya mengenai langkah konkret ke depan demi memajukan kawasan Geopark, Zulhifni menjelaskan bahwa hasil dari tinjauan lapangan tim pra-revalidasi ini akan langsung dievaluasi secara menyeluruh.
"Nanti kan ada hasil dari pra-penilaian ini. Hasil tersebut akan tetap kami evaluasi dan segera kami laporkan ke Pak Bupati," jelasnya.
Langkah selanjutnya, Pemkab Merangin akan langsung menginstruksikan Satuan Kerja Perangkat Daerah (SKPD) atau OPD terkait untuk bergerak cepat mengeksekusi program kerja.
"Nanti SKPD terkait yang harus melaksanakan kegiatan nyata demi memenuhi kriteria-kriteria penilaian Geopark ini. Semoga Geopark kita ini selalu jaya," pungkasnya.
