BANGKO — Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kabupaten Merangin, Zulhifni, secara resmi membuka Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Laporan Akhir Penyusunan Dokumen Grand Design Pembangunan Kependudukan (GDPK) 5 Pilar Kabupaten Merangin Tahun 2025–2045.
Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung di Aula Depati Payung Bappeda Kabupaten Merangin pada Senin (6/7).
Hadir membacakan sambutan tertulis Bupati Merangin M. Syukur, Sekda Zulhifni menegaskan bahwa penduduk beserta dinamikanya memegang peranan yang sangat krusial dalam menyokong roda pembangunan, baik di tingkat nasional maupun daerah.
"Penduduk merupakan manusia, sedangkan dinamikanya merupakan segala hal yang berkaitan dengan penduduk. Pada hakikatnya, segala macam aspek perencanaan pembangunan harus mengacu berdasarkan pada situasi kependudukan yang sedang terjadi," ujar Zulhifni.
Di sela-sela sambutan, Sekda juga sempat menyapa dan meminta sinergi langsung dari perwakilan Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) serta jajaran Kepala Dinas (Kadin) OPD terkait yang hadir. Ia mengingatkan pentingnya koordinasi lintas sektor demi keakuratan data kependudukan.
Lebih lanjut, Sekda Zulhifni memaparkan bahwa penduduk merupakan penerima manfaat utama dari pembangunan. Oleh sebab itu, situasi kependudukan—termasuk jumlah, struktur, persebaran, hingga pertumbuhan penduduk—berdampak langsung pada berbagai lini kehidupan, mulai dari sektor sosial, ekonomi, budaya, pangan, energi, lingkungan, politik, hingga keamanan.
Penyusunan dokumen GDPK 5 Pilar ini diharapkan mampu mengukuhkan komitmen bersama antara pemerintah daerah dan Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) dalam mengatasi berbagai isu kependudukan ke depan. Dokumen strategis ini juga dirancang untuk memetakan arah kebijakan kependudukan Merangin selama dua dekade mendatang.
"Dokumen GDPK diharapkan dapat menyediakan arahan kebijakan untuk perencanaan dan implementasi pembangunan, serta memetakan arah kebijakan kependudukan di dua dekade mendatang, dari tahun 2025 hingga 2045," tambahnya.
Langkah ini dinilai sangat strategis mengingat Indonesia akan menyongsong momentum Indonesia Emas pada tahun 2045, tepat pada satu abad usia kemerdekaan RI. .
Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin berkomitmen menyiapkan pertumbuhan penduduk yang seimbang serta keluarga yang berkualitas agar siap menghadapi tantangan demografis masa depan.
Menutup arahannya, Sekda Zulhifni mengajak seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk tidak hanya mengandalkan pemerintah, tetapi juga ikut proaktif dalam mencegah dan mencari solusi atas permasalahan kependudukan. Acara kemudian resmi dibuka yang ditandai dengan pembacaan sebuah pantun.
"Pohon kelapa tumbuh di taman, daunnya lebat tertiup angin. Mari kita buka pertemuan, semoga berkah rahmat-Mu di Kabupaten Merangin," tutup Sekda disambut tepuk tangan para peserta FGD.
