Batangharinews.com, JAKARTA – Nama Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat kembali harum di kancah akademik nasional. Di Gedung IASTH Universitas Indonesia (UI), Salemba, Jakarta Pusat, Sabtu (04/07/2026), Bupati Drs. H. Anwar Sadat, M.Ag., hadir secara langsung untuk memberikan apresiasi atas keberhasilan Estiarty Haryani, S.Pt., M.T., meraih gelar Doktor Ilmu Lingkungan dengan predikat Cum Laude.
Lebih membanggakan lagi, disertasi berjudul "Strategi Keberlanjutan Implementasi Green Productivity Industri Kelapa Sawit" tersebut menjadikan Tanjab Barat sebagai objek studi utama. Pemilihan lokasi ini menegaskan bahwa kabupaten pesisir Jambi bukan sekadar sentra produksi sawit, melainkan laboratorium hidup (living laboratory) bagi pengembangan industri perkebunan yang ramah lingkungan dan berdaya saing global.
Sawit Produktif Tanpa Mengorbankan Lingkungan
Dalam sidang terbuka tersebut, Dr. Estiarty Haryani—yang juga menjabat Staf Ahli Menteri Ketenagakerjaan Bidang Hubungan Antar Lembaga—menyajikan temuan krusial. Ia menawarkan strategi konkret agar industri kelapa sawit dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dan nilai tambah ekonomi tanpa mengabaikan aspek keberlanjutan lingkungan serta tanggung jawab sosial (ESG).
Rekomendasi dari disertasi ini diharapkan menjadi rujukan baru bagi pemerintah daerah dan pelaku usaha dalam menyeimbangkan antara produktivitas lahan dan kelestarian ekosistem, menjawab tantangan standar pasar internasional yang semakin ketat terhadap isu deforestasi dan emisi karbon.

Menyaksikan momen bersejarah ini, Bupati Anwar Sadat menyampaikan kebanggaan mendalam. Ia menegaskan bahwa kolaborasi antara akademisi dan pemerintah daerah adalah kunci menuju masa depan perkebunan yang cerdas.
“Saya mengucapkan selamat kepada Ibu Estiarty Haryani. Kami merasa bangga karena Tanjab Barat menjadi bagian dari penelitian strategis ini. Semoga hasil disertasi ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi pemerintah, dunia usaha, dan masyarakat dalam mewujudkan sektor perkebunan yang semakin produktif sekaligus menjaga kelestarian lingkungan,” ujar Bupati Anwar Sadat.
Ia menambahkan komitmen pemda untuk membuka ruang kolaborasi seluas-luasnya dengan kalangan akademisi. “Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat siap mendukung serta membuka ruang kolaborasi dengan kalangan akademisi untuk menghadirkan berbagai inovasi demi kemajuan daerah,” tegasnya.
Dukungan Penuh dari Pusat hingga Daerah
Kehadiran Bupati Anwar Sadat didampingi Sekretaris Daerah Tanjab Barat, Kepala Dinas Tenaga Kerja, serta Kabag Protokol dan Komunikasi Pimpinan Setda menunjukkan keseriusan pemda dalam menindaklanjuti rekomendasi akademik ini. Turut hadir pula perwakilan Kementerian Ketenagakerjaan, para akademisi UI, dan Gubernur Jambi yang diwakili Kepala Biro Umum Setda Provinsi Jambi.
Sinergi pentahelix antara pemerintah pusat, provinsi, kabupaten, akademisi, dan pelaku usaha ini menjadi sinyal kuat bahwa Tanjung Jabung Barat tidak ingin tertinggal dalam revolusi industri sawit hijau. Dengan dukungan riset berbasis data dari UI, Tanjab Barat kini memiliki peta jalan yang lebih jelas untuk bertransformasi menjadi model perkebunan berkelanjutan yang bisa ditiru oleh daerah lain di Indonesia.
