BANGKO — Ratusan warga Kabupaten Merangin memadati jalur dua kantor bupati lama pada Minggu pagi (24/05). Kehadiran masyarakat yang antusias ini menandai peluncuran perdana program Car Free Day (CFD) yang digagas oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin.
Acara yang dipusatkan di sekitar Taman Bujang Upik jalur Perkantoran Kabupaten Merangin ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Wakil Bupati Merangin, A. Khafidh, didampingi Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Zulhifni, serta jajaran kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Pemkab Merangin.
Program CFD ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan Surat Imbauan Bupati Merangin Nomor: 400.4.3/113/DISPARPORA/2026. Kebijakan ini merupakan tindak lanjut dari hasil rapat di aula rumah dinas Bupati Merangin pada Senin (18/5/2026) lalu, yang dipimpin langsung oleh Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK Kabupaten Merangin.
Melalui himbauan tersebut, seluruh Kepala OPD diminta untuk mengajak staf beserta keluarga mereka untuk meramaikan CFD. Kegiatan ini dijadwalkan rutin setiap hari Minggu mulai pukul 06.30 hingga 10.00 Wib dengan agenda olahraga bersama, seperti jalan pagi, senam, serta penyediaan ruang bagi pelaku UMKM.
Meskipun wilayah Bangko dan sekitarnya sempat diguyur hujan lebat pada malam hari sebelum acara, hal tersebut tidak menyurutkan semangat warga untuk datang berolahraga.
"Alhamdulillah, walaupun malam tadi diguyur hujan yang cukup lebat, kebetulan tadi pagi jam 06.00 WIB sudah berhenti. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat Kabupaten Merangin, khususnya yang di Bangko, kita olahraga jalan pagi, dilanjutkan senam untuk pembukaan atau hari pertama Car Free Day di Kota Bangko ini," ujar Wakil Bupati Merangin, A. Khafidh, saat ditemui di lokasi acara.
Khafidh berharap, gaung positif dari CFD perdana ini dapat tersebar luas ke wilayah luar Kota Bangko agar pelaksanaan di minggu-minggu berikutnya berjalan semakin meriah.
"Mudah-mudahan yang ada di luar Kota Bangko tahu dan mendengar, besok minggu depan kita sama-sama olahraga di lokasi Car Free Day. Terima kasih," tambahnya.
Selain menjadi wadah berolahraga, CFD Merangin juga diproyeksikan menjadi motor penggerak ekonomi lokal melalui pelibatan para pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM).
Salah seorang peserta CFD menyambut baik ruang baru yang diberikan pemerintah daerah ini. Ia menegaskan bahwa seluruh elemen masyarakat siap menyukseskan program mingguan ini.
"Semangat! Untuk beraktivitas, berolahraga, dan UMKM juga di sini nanti, sesuai yang disampaikan Pak Bupati ya, semangat!" serunya optimis.
