TANJAB BARAT – Wakil Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat, Dr. H. Katamso, SA, S.E., M.E., menghadiri peresmian operasional 1.061 Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDMP/KKMP) yang diresmikan langsung oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, secara virtual, Sabtu (16/05).
Kegiatan tersebut berlangsung di lokasi KDKMP Kelurahan Bram Itam Kiri, Kecamatan Bram Itam, dan turut dihadiri Dandim 0419/Tanjab Letkol Inf. Zulhiardi, S.IP., M.Han., unsur Forkopimda, serta sejumlah kepala OPD dan tokoh masyarakat setempat.
Suasana khidmat tampak saat para peserta berdiri mengikuti rangkaian acara peresmian secara virtual yang dipusatkan di Kabupaten Nganjuk, Jawa Timur. Momentum ini menjadi tonggak penting dalam upaya pemerintah memperkuat ekonomi kerakyatan berbasis desa dan kelurahan.
Dalam sambutannya, Presiden Prabowo Subianto menegaskan bahwa peresmian koperasi tersebut bukan sekadar seremoni, melainkan langkah strategis untuk membangun kemandirian ekonomi masyarakat desa.
“Hari ini adalah tonggak bersejarah. Jarang ada negara yang mampu meresmikan lebih dari seribu koperasi sekaligus dengan fasilitas yang lengkap,” ujarnya.
Presiden juga menjelaskan bahwa koperasi yang diresmikan telah dilengkapi berbagai fasilitas penunjang, mulai dari gedung operasional, gudang, sistem distribusi dan logistik, hingga kendaraan operasional. Hal ini diharapkan mampu memperkuat rantai distribusi pangan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa.
Lebih lanjut, Presiden menekankan pentingnya ketahanan pangan sebagai fondasi utama kekuatan bangsa. Menurutnya, ketersediaan pangan jauh lebih krusial dibanding sekadar mengandalkan impor.
“Yang penting adalah ketersediaan. Ketahanan pangan membuat kita lebih siap menghadapi krisis global,” tegasnya.
Sementara itu, Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan Zulkifli Hasan menyampaikan bahwa program KDMP/KKMP merupakan instrumen penting dalam mewujudkan keadilan ekonomi di desa. Ia menyebut ribuan koperasi telah dibangun dan akan terus bertambah guna memperluas manfaat bagi masyarakat.
Di lokasi kegiatan, Wabup Katamso menyambut baik program tersebut dan menilai keberadaan koperasi desa menjadi motor penggerak ekonomi masyarakat di daerah.
Hal senada disampaikan Dandim 0419/Tanjab Letkol Inf. Zulhiardi yang menegaskan komitmen pihaknya dalam mendukung percepatan pembangunan Koperasi Merah Putih di seluruh desa dan kelurahan di Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat.
Menurutnya, koperasi memiliki peran strategis dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi pedesaan, memperkuat distribusi pangan, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
Pemerintah sendiri menargetkan puluhan ribu koperasi desa dapat beroperasi penuh sebelum Agustus 2026, sebagai bagian dari upaya besar membangun kemandirian ekonomi nasional yang berangkat dari desa.
