MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari telah menyelesaikan dokumen persyaratan untuk lokasi pembangunan Sekolah Rakyat di Kabupaten Batang Hari.
Bupati Kabupaten Batang Hari Muhammad Fadhil Arief, SE mengatakan, rencana pembangunan sekolah rakyat itu terus berproses. Kini telah diselesaikan kelengkapan persyaratan dan siap disampaikan ke Kementerian Sosial Republik Indonesia.
"Dokumen persyaratan sudah selesai, kita lengkapi dan siap untuk disampaikan ke Kemensos," sebutnya.
Sebelumnya, rencana pembangunan sekolah tersebut sempat terkendala persoalan luas lahan yang belum memenuhi syarat. Namun saat ini, Pemkab Batang Hari telah menyiapkan lahan seluas lima hektar yang berada di kawasan Talang Bukit, Kecamatan Muarabulian.
Untuk lokasi tersebut dinilai representatif dan mudah dijangkau masyarakat sehingga dianggap layak untuk pembangunan Sekolah Rakyat.
Bupati Batang Hari juga mengatakan keberadaan Sekolah Rakyat tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi salah satu solusi dalam meningkatkan akses pendidikan bagi masyarakat kurang mampu, sekaligus mendukung program pengentasan kemiskinan di daerah.
Dengan demikian Bupati berharap tahapan pembangunan fisik dapat segera direalisasikan setelah proses administrasi di tingkat kementerian selesai dilakukan.
“Tentunya proses pembangunannya bisa segera berjalan agar manfaatnya cepat dirasakan masyarakat,” ujarnya.
Program Sekolah Rakyat tersebut merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam memperluas akses pendidikan bagi masyarakat, khususnya kelompok ekonomi kurang mampu, melalui dukungan fasilitas pendidikan yang memadai.
