TANJAB BARAT – Usai menghadiri kegiatan silaturahmi bersama Pengurus Daerah Persatuan Anggota Badan Permusyawaratan Desa Seluruh Indonesia (PD PABPDSI) Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, Bupati Tanjung Jabung Barat Drs. H. Anwar Sadat, M.Ag., melanjutkan agenda kerja dengan meninjau pengerjaan box culvert di ruas Jalan Nasional Lintas Timur Jambi–Riau, tepatnya di Desa Tanjung Bojo, Kecamatan Batang Asam, Selasa (12/05).
Peninjauan tersebut dilakukan sebagai bentuk perhatian pemerintah terhadap penanganan banjir yang kerap terjadi di wilayah Desa Tanjung Bojo saat curah hujan tinggi dan debit air meningkat.
Di sela peninjauan, Bupati menyampaikan bahwa pembangunan box culvert ini merupakan salah satu langkah strategis untuk memperbaiki sistem drainase dan meminimalisir genangan air yang selama ini dikeluhkan masyarakat.
“Perbaikan box culvert ini diharapkan dapat membantu mengatasi banjir di Desa Tanjung Bojo akibat luapan air dan sistem pembuangan yang selama ini kurang optimal,” ujar Bupati.
Bupati menjelaskan, pekerjaan infrastruktur tersebut dilaksanakan oleh Balai Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional (BPJN) Jambi Kementerian PUPR dengan target penyelesaian selama 120 hari.
“Kita berharap pekerjaan berjalan lancar dan selesai tepat waktu sehingga manfaatnya segera dirasakan masyarakat, khususnya dalam mendukung kelancaran aliran air dan kenyamanan pengguna jalan,” tambahnya.
Menurut Bupati, penanganan infrastruktur dasar seperti drainase dan saluran air menjadi bagian penting dalam upaya pemerintah mengurangi dampak banjir sekaligus menjaga konektivitas jalan nasional yang menjadi jalur utama aktivitas masyarakat dan distribusi barang.
Melalui peninjauan ini, Pemerintah Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat kembali menegaskan komitmennya dalam mendukung peningkatan infrastruktur dasar guna mengurangi risiko banjir serta meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan dan kenyamanan masyarakat.
Turut mendampingi Bupati dalam kegiatan tersebut Kepala Bagian Protokol dan Komunikasi Pimpinan (Prokopim) Setda Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat serta Kepala Desa Tanjung Bojo.
