Bangko – Gubernur Al Haris memuji semangat dan komitmen Bupati Merangin H M Syukur dalam membangun Kabupaten Merangin. Berbagai perubahan dan kemajuan terjadi, tentunya tidak lepas dari kerja keras dan sinergi pemerintah bersama masyarakat.
Pujian tersebut disampaikan Gubernur saat kegiatan Safari Ramadan Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi di Masjid Al Mukmin, Kelurahan Pamenang, Kecamatan Pamenang, Kabupaten Merangin, Sabtu malam (28/2).
Dalam sambutannya, Gubernur juga mengapresiasi kekompakan masyarakat Pamenang, khususnya dalam pembangunan Masjid Al Mukmin. Gubernur mengaku mengikuti proses pembangunan masjid tersebut sejak awal.
“Saya mengetahui sejak awal pembangunan masjid ini, karena saya yang meletakkan batu pertama saat menjabat sebagai Bupati Merangin. Masyarakat disini tidak kaya, tapi sawit banyak,’’ujar Gubernur disambut tawa jemaah yang hadir.
Bupati Merangin  Syukur yang hadir bersama Wakil Bupati H Kafidh, Sekda Zulhifni, unsur Forkopimda, serta para kepala Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD), menyampaikan terima kasih atas kunjungan Gubernur dalam rangka Safari Ramadan 1447 Hijriah di Kabupaten Merangin.
‘’Kunjungan ini bukan hanya sekedar Safari Ramadhan, tapi lebih dari itu sebagai ajang silaurahmi baik masyarakat Merangin dengan Pak Gubernur maupun Pemkab Merangin dengan Pak Gubernur dan jajarannya,’’ujar Bupati.
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Gubernur juga menyoroti pentingnya peran keluarga dalam pembinaan anak. H Al Haris mengungkapkan bahwa sekitar 25 persen anak-anak di Provinsi Jambi kehilangan kehadiran dan kasih sayang ayah dalam keseharian mereka, baik karena merantau ke luar negeri, perceraian, maupun faktor lainnya.
“Kondisi ini tentu menjadi perhatian kita bersama. Pembinaan akhlak anak harus dimulai sejak dini. Peran ayah sangat penting dalam mendampingi tumbuh kembang anak agar menjadi generasi yang berakhlak dan berkualitas,” tegas Gubernur.
Sebagai bentuk kepedulian sosial, dalam kegiatan tersebut juga disalurkan berbagai bantuan. Bupati menyerahkan bantuan dari CSR Bank Jambi, Wakil Bupati menyalurkan bantuan pembangunan masjid dari Baznas Merangin.
Sementara Gubernur Jambi memberikan bantuan kepada 50 orang fakir miskin yang secara simbolis diterima sebanyak 12 orang dan bantuan makanan tambahan berupa telur dan susu untuk anak-anak Stunting.
Kegiatan Safari Ramadan berlangsung khidmat dan penuh kehangatan itu, sekaligus mempererat silaturahmi antara Pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dan Pemerintah Kabupaten Merangin bersama masyarakat. Acara ditutup dengan saling bersalaman.
