Batangharinews.com,Jambi, 27 Februari 2026 - Usia senja kerap datang bersama perubahan yang tak mudah. Tubuh yang tak lagi sekuat saat usia produktif, keleluasaan ruang gerak yang mulai menyempit, serta peran sosial yang kerap memudar membuat sebagian lansia merasa tersisih dari kehidupan sosial. Padahal di balik rambut yang memutih dan langkah yang mulai lamban, masih tersimpan pengalaman panjang dan asa untuk tetap merasa berarti.
Indonesia kini memasuki era penduduk menua. Data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) menunjukkan persentase lansia meningkat hampir 4% dalam 2015–2024 menjadi 12%. Pada 2045, jumlah lansia diproyeksikan mencapai 65,82 juta jiwa atau 20,31%, sehingga upaya menjaga kesehatan dan kemandirian lansia menjadi semakin penting.
Sejalan dengan itu, studi social mapping Pertamina EP (PEP) Jambi pada 2024 mengidentifikasi Desa Kota Karang, Kecamatan Kumpeh Ulu, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi sebagai wilayah potensial pengembangan lansia, dengan adanya Sekolah Lansia Tangguh (SELANTANG) yang dibentuk Kementerian Kependudukan dan Pembangunan Keluarga (Kemendukbangga)/BKKBN Provinsi Jambi sejak 2023. Sekolah Lansia Tangguh - Bina Keluarga Lansia (BKL) Kamboja di Desa Kota Karang menjadi ruang belajar dan berbagi bagi para lansia untuk menjaga kesehatan dan tetap aktif bersama dukungan keluarga.
Melihat manfaat yang langsung menyentuh para peserta, Pertamina EP (PEP) Jambi melalui program Semangat Lanjut Usia untuk Berkarya, Sehat, dan Sejahtera (SENJA KARSA) mulai mendukung penguatan program sejak 2025.
Salah satu penerima manfaat sekaligus sebagai Duta Lansia Desa Kota Karang Tahun 2025 Maisarah, menyampaikan antusiasme atas dukungan yang diberikan kepada kelompok lansia. "Adanya Sekolah Lansia ini membuat kami semangat lagi. Bisa kumpul, sama-sama jaga kesehatan, juga latihan-latihan keterampilan. Rasanya kami masih bermanfaat di usia segini,” ujarnya. Ia berterima kasih pada Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Provinsi Jambi dan Pertamina EP Jambi atas dukungannya.
Melihat perkembangan program, Ketua Pokja Lansia & Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Keluarga Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Provinsi Jambi Novita Sari turut mengapresiasi dukungan PEP Jambi. “Terima kasih atas dukungan Pertamina EP Jambi dalam penguatan Sekolah Lansia di Desa Kota Karang. Hal ini menjadi penguat dalam menjaga semangat belajar para lansia tetap menyala dan dirasakan secara langsung,” ujarnya.
Peran Pertamina EP Jambi dalam program ini di antaranya memberikan perlengkapan belajar dan alat kesehatan bagi 55 lansia, pelatihan lansiapreneur melalui pembuatan batik eco-print, serta edukasi peran keluarga dalam pendampingan lansia. Pendekatan ini menempatkan lansia sebagai individu yang tetap memiliki daya cipta, pengalaman, dan nilai bagi lingkungan sekitarnya.
Perjalanan belajar para peserta terus berlanjut, salah satunya ditandai dengan wisuda Sekolah Lansia BKL Kamboja yang diselenggarakan Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Provinsi Jambi bersama PEP Jambi pada 31 Desember 2025 lalu di Kantor Desa Kota Karang. Momen ini menjadi penegas bahwa belajar di usia senja adalah hal yang patut dirayakan.
Manager Community Involvement & Development (CID) Regional 1 Iwan Ridwan Faizal menegaskan, program SENJA KARSA berangkat dari keyakinan bahwa keberlanjutan masyarakat juga bertumpu pada kualitas hidup generasi lanjut usia. “Bagi kami, lansia bukan kelompok yang diabaikan. Dukungan ini kami hadirkan agar para lansia tetap sehat, aktif, dan terus merasa punya ruang untuk bertumbuh di tengah masyarakat,” ujarnya.
Ke depan, PEP Jambi berkomitmen memperkuat manfaat program SENJA KARSA melalui peningkatan kapasitas pembelajaran, pengembangan kelompok lansiapreneur, pemantauan kesehatan bersama tenaga medis, serta kegiatan yang mendukung kesejahteraan mental dan sosial lansia.**
