Bangko–Bupati Merangin H M Syukur memberikan apresiasi tinggi kepada tiga pelajar asal Kabupaten Merangin yang berhasil mengharumkan nama daerah pada, ajang Duta Siswa Indonesia 2026 yang digelar di Surabaya, Jawa Timur, Senin (02/2). Ketiga pelajar itu, Muhamad Fhaiz Perkasa yang berhasil meraih Runner Up 01 Duta Siswa Indonesia 2026, M Hafiz Alfansury masuk enam besar dan Joy Edwina Tampubolon juga melaju ke grand finalis ajang bergengsi tingkat nasional tersebut. Bupati Merangin M Syukur menyampaikan rasa bangga atas prestasi yang diraih para siswa tersebut. Menurut bupati, capaian ini merupakan bukti bahwa pelajar Merangin memiliki kualitas, daya saing dan potensi besar di tingkat nasional. ‘’Saya sangat mengapresiasi dan bangga atas prestasi yang diraih anak-anak kita. Prestasi ni menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak Kabupaten Merangin mampu bersaing dan berprestasi di tingkat nasional,’’ujar Bupati. Muhamad Fhaiz Perkasa merupakan pelajar Sekolah Alexandria School Bekasi, M Hafiz Alfansury pelajar Madrasah Aliah Ash-Shiddiiqi Jambi dan Joy Edwina Tampubolon merupakan pelajar kelas 11 SMA Negeri Titian Teras Jambi. M Syukur berharap prestasi tersebut dapat menjadi motivasi bagi pelajar lainnya di Kabupaten Merangin untuk terus belajar, mengembangkan potensi diri, serta berani tampil dan berkompetisi di berbagai ajang positif. ‘’Semoga prestasi ini menjadi inspirasi bagi generasi muda Merangin lainnya, untuk terus berkarya, berprestasi dan membawa nama baik daerah. Duta Siswa Indonesia merupakan wadah pembinaan karakter kepemimpinan dan prestasi akademik maupun non-akademik bagi pelajar dari seluruh Indonesia,’’tambah Bupati.
