MERANGIN - Polres Merangin melalui Satuan Lalu Lintas (Sat Lantas) yang dikedepankan dalam Operasi Keselamatan Siginjai 2026 mulai melakukan kegiatan operasi. Di hari pertama pelaksanaan, pihak kepolisian lebih menekankan pada pendekatan edukatif dan teguran lisan dibandingkan penindakan tilang denda.
Kapolres Merangin melalui Kasubsi Penmas AIPTU Ruly.S.Sy.,M.H, menyampaikan bahwa operasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan disiplin masyarakat dalam berlalu lintas serta menekan angka kecelakaan di wilayah hukum Polres Merangin.
"Dua hari pelaksanaan operasi ini, kami memberikan 33 teguran tertulis. Sesuai instruksi, pada tahap awal Operasi Keselamatan Siginjai ini, kami mengedepankan tindakan simpatik berupa teguran dan himbauan. Belum ada pemberlakuan tilang tertulis maupun denda bagi para pelanggar," ujar Ruly.
Operasi Keselamatan Siginjai 2026 direncanakan berlangsung selama 14 hari ke depan. Fokus utama petugas adalah 9 prioritas pelanggaran, mulai dari tidak menggunakan helm, penggunaan ponsel saat berkendara, Penggunaan Knalpot Bising / Brong, Pengendara Ranmor yang melawan arus, Tanda nomor kendaraan bermotor (TNKB) tidak sesuai ketentuan, pengendara ranmor yang masih di bawah umur atau tidak memiliki SIM, pengendara yang dalam pengaruh alkohol, hingga kendaraan yang melebihi kapasitas (Over Dimension/Over Load).
Sementara itu Kasat Lantas Polres Merangin mengimbau kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat agar senantiasa melengkapi surat-surat kendaraan dan mematuhi rambu lalu lintas, bukan hanya karena adanya operasi kepolisian, melainkan demi keselamatan pribadi.
"Kami mengajak masyarakat untuk menjadikan keselamatan sebagai kebutuhan. Patuhi aturan lalu lintas, gunakan helm SNI, dan pastikan kendaraan dalam kondisi standar. Ingat, awal dari kecelakaan adalah pelanggaran," tutup AKP Iwan.
