Konsultasi ini meminta Kemendagri membantu pemerintah Provinsi Jambi dalam menyelesaikan batas wilayah antara Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dengan Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Dimana ini merupakan salah satu agenda Percepatan PI untuk Meningkatkan Pendapatan asli daerah. 

Ketua Pansus PI DPRD Provinsi Jambi Abun Yani mengatakan kedatangan dari Pansus ke Ditjen Bina administrasi kewilayahan Kemendagri ini ialah untuk berkonsultasi dan meminta pemerintah pusat dapat mempercepat dan membantu pemerintah provinsi Jambi menyelesaikan batas wilayah dua Kabupaten yakni kabupaten Tanjung Jawa Barat dan Tanjung Jabung Timur. 

"Alhamdulillah kita diterima sangat Luar Biasa, Hasil Pertemuan Pansus dengan Kemendagri ada menemui titik terang, bahwa Kemendagri segera menindaklanjuti Batas wilayah antara Tanjabbar dengan Tanjabtim sesuai dengan Permendagri Nomor 141 Tahun 2017" Ungkap Abun Yani Rabu (14/01/2026) 

Abun Yani  menambahkan pemerintah pusat melalui Kemendagri sangat merespon cepat dan sangat peduli yang menunjukkan bahwa mereka peduli terhadap masyarakat Jambi. Ini merupakan salah satu proses PI dalam rangka meningkatkan PAD Provinsi Jambi kedepannya. 

Konsultasi yang turut dihadiri oleh wakil ketua DPRD Provinsi Jambi Faisal Riza ini disambut langsung Oleh Direktur toponimi dan batas daerah Kemendagri Raziras rahmadilah. Dihadapan Anggota Pansus PI Direktur Toponimi  Akan Menindaklanjuti Semua Proses ini dan segera mengambil langkah agar secepatnya di selesaikan. Untuk itu Kemendagri juga menunggu Overlay dan didudukkan kembali agar Proses PI dapat Berjalan dengan Lancar.

Dalam rapat konsultasi ini mayoritas anggota pansus PI meminta Kemendagri mengambil alih penyelesaian batas wilayah antara kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat dengan Tanjung Jabung Timur. (HMS)
