MUARABULIAN - Bupati Batang Hari, Muhammad Fadhil Arief, SE menghadiri acara Rapat Koordinasi (RAKOR) Camat tahun 2025 dan Penandatangan MOU antara Provinsi Jambi dengan Kejaksaan Tinggi Provinsi Jambi mengenai Sinergi Pelayanan Pidana Kerja Sosial bagi tindak Pidana diruang Pola Rumah Dinas Gubernur Jambi, Senin (02/12/2025).
Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari siap mendukung pelayanan pidana kerja sosial bagi tindak pidana, demi mewujudkan keadilan restoratif dan juga rehabilitasi sosial bagi para terpidana.
Para bupati/walikota se-Provinsi Jambi, juga menandatangani perjanjian kerjasama antara Kepala Kejaksaan Negeri (Kajari) di daerah masing-masing. MoU tersebut mengatur koordinasi teknis, penyediaan lokasi kerja sosial, pengawasan, pembinaan, penyediaan data, hingga sosialisasi kepada masyarakat.
Pidana kerja sosial ini salah satu jenis pidana alternatif yang dikenakan kepada pelaku tindak pidana tertentu, sebagai pengganti pidana penjara atau denda. Pidana itu diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2022 tentang pemasyarakatan dan mulai diberlakukan melalui peraturan pelaksananya Januari mendatang.
Pidana kerja sosial bukanlah bentuk hukuman yang menghukum semata. Hal ini sebagai sarana untuk membangun kembali kesadaran pelaku, lewat kontribusi yang nyata kepada masyarakat.
