‘’Jadi dengan sistem Meritokrasi ini, saya ingin memastikan bahwa setiap ASN yang ditempatkan, sesuai dengan kometensi, kinerja dan integritasnya, sehingga sesui dengan ilmu dan talentanya,’’ujar Bupati.
Jika penempatan ASN itu mecing dengan ilmu dan talentanya lanjut bupati, maka kinerjanya akan lebih meningkat, yang akhirnya berdampak pada pelayanan publik kepada masyarakat yang berjalan lebih baik lagi.
Acara Pembangunan Meritokrasi tersebut dihadiri, Kepala BKN Regional VII Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, Gubernur Jambi diwakili Sekda H Sudirman dan diikuti para gubernur dan bupati/walikota, perwakilan berbagai instansi di wilayah regional VII BKN Palembang.
Sebagai dukungan penuh atas penerapan sistem Meritokrasi itu, Bupati Merangin H M Syukur, maju bersama bupati/walikota lainnya wilayah Jambi dan wilayah lainnya, menandatangani komitmen bersama.
‘’Acara ini menjadi momentum penting dalam memperkuat komitmen Pemerintah Daerah untuk mewujudkan birokrasi yang profesional, transparan dan beintegritas.  Pemerapan sistem Meritokrasi sangat penting,’’terang Bupati.
Melalui sistem ini diharapkan seluruh instansi Pemerintah Daerah, mampu meningkatkan kualitas manajemen kepegawaian dan membangun birokrasi yang semakin adaptif, responsif dan dipercaya masyarakat.
Pada acara itu dibahas secara mendetail, strategi pemerapan sistem Meritokrasi dalam pengeloa Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) aparatur, termasuk penguatan peran Pejabat Pembina Kepegawaian (PPK) di daerah.
