MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari, sejak beberapa tahun yang lalu sudah menerapkan program 13 tahun Wajib Belajar.
Program ini merupakan bagian dari upaya pemerintah untuk menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten, terampil, dan siap bersaing di dunia global serta menciptakan generasi emas 2045 mendatang.
Program 13 Tahun Wajib Belajar mengintegrasikan pendidikan anak usia dini, pendidikan dasar (SD/MI), dan pendidikan menengah (SMP/MTs) hingga tingkat SMA/SMK.
Melalui Peraturan Bupati Batang Hari Nomor 48 Tahun 2021 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Kabupaten Batang Hari memperkuat komitmennya dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan anak usia dini.
Peraturan tersebut mengatur berbagai aspek terkait penyelenggaraan pendidikan bagi anak usia dini di daerah tersebut, termasuk peningkatan kualitas fasilitas pendidikan serta pemberian akses yang lebih luas bagi masyarakat untuk mengenyam pendidikan.
Peraturan Bupati Batang Hari Nomor 48 Tahun 2021 Tentang Penyelenggaraan Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini.
Pada BAB V Peraturan Bupati tersebut membahas tentang program wajib PAUD 1 (satu) tahun pra sekolah yang artinya Kabupaten Batang Hari unggul beberapa langkah dari program pemerintah pusat.
Bunda PAUD Kabupaten Batang Hari, Zulva Fadhil mengungkapkan program 13 tahun yang pada awal tahun 2025 diluncurkan oleh pemerintah pusat, adalah bentuk program yang selama ini dijalankan di daerah sejak beberapa tahun silam.
"Alhamdulillah, pemerintah pusat juga telah meluncurkan apa yang sudah kami jalankan di Batang Hari sejak tahun 2021 silam yakni 13 tahun wajib belajar. Tentu ini menjadi langkah baik bagi kami untuk menciptakan generasi emas tahun 2045," ujarnya.
Bunda Zulva Fadhil juga percaya bahwa pendidikan adalah hak setiap anak. Melalui program ini, pihaknya memastikan bahwa semua anak di Batang Hari, tanpa terkecuali, bisa mendapatkan pendidikan yang layak hingga tingkat menengah. Dengan berlakunya Perbup Nomor 48 Tahun 2021.
"Ya program itu langsung dari Kemendikdasmen kami semakin serius dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di daerah kami," tambahnya.
Keberhasilan Kabupaten Batang Hari dalam menjalankan program 13 Tahun Wajib Belajar dapat dilihat dari peningkatan jumlah partisipasi anak usia sekolah sejak usia dini atau PAUD. Berdasarkan update terakhir, saat ini setidaknya ada 10.543 siswa PAUD di Batang Hari.
Selain itu, Kabupaten Batang Hari juga telah memberikan berbagai bantuan dan fasilitas seperti beasiswa, pengadaan sarana pendidikan, dan pelatihan bagi para guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di tingkat dasar dan menengah.
Melalui peraturan itu pula pihaknya dapat melihat kepekaan Bupati Batang Hari terhadap isu strategis masa depan. Sebab, apa yang dilakukan saat ini, merupakan hasil penerawangan nya sejak beberapa tahun silam.
Dengan demikian, seluruh anak Indonesia diharapkan dapat memperoleh pendidikan minimal hingga tingkat SMA/SMK, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan tingkat partisipasi pendidikan di Indonesia dan mengurangi angka putus sekolah.
