Rombongan bupati tersebut disambut dengan prosesi adat Tradisi Gong Kecil oleh ibu-ibu dari Sungai Manau, Persembahan Cerano sirih dan Tari Persembahan. Gelar adat itu ditandai acara kebesaran setempat dengan penyisipan Keris kepada bupati.
‘’Festival Pangkalan Jambu ini melestarikan Pusako Lamo, hadir di acara ini anggota Dewan Provinsi Jambi, Dewan Kabupaten Merangin dan para pejabat di jajaraan Pemkab Merangin yang semuanya merupakan putra terbaik Merangin dari Kecamatan Pangkalan Jambu,’’ ujar Bupati.
Bupati mengajak semua yang hadir untuk bersama-sama berjuang, mewujudkan perubahan Merangin Baru 2030, tanpa harus menginggalkan tradisi budaya lama yang selalu dijunjung tinggi.
Acara pemberian gelar adat yang disatukan dengan peringatan Hari Ulang  Tahun (HUT) Kecamatan Pangkalan Jambu ke-18 itu berlangsung sungguh meriah, diwarnai Pameran dan Bazaar.
Pada kesempatan itu bupati juga memberikan bantuan Jamkesda kepada sebanyak 12 orang warga. Bantuan itu akan terus bergulir secara bertahap kepada masyarakat tidak mampu lainnya.
Menariknya, bupati bersama rombongan secara cermat mengikuti prosesi Meram Pisang Besamo, dengan mengubur pisang mentah ke dalam tanah dan menutupnya dengan daun pisang  ditutup Dulang (tempat mencari emas) diasapi dan ditunggu selama dua hari baru pisang itu matang.
