Pemerintah Kabupaten Batang Hari terus melakukan pembinaan kepada para pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di daerah setempat.
Kepala Bidang Usaha Kecil Menengah Dinas Perdagangan, Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Menengah (Disdagkop UKM) Kabupaten Batang Hari, Maryati di Muarabulian mengatakan, bahwa pihaknya akan memberikan pelatihan kepada para UKM yang di pimpin oleh Dewan Kerajinan Nasional Daerah (Dekranasda) daerah setempat.
Pihaknya akan melaksanakan beberapa pelatihan yaitu pelatihan packaging,make up, desain baju, dan anyaman. Yang mana nantinya para peserta itu di ambil dua orang masing-masing Kecamatan di Kabupaten Batang Hari.
"Untuk peserta pelatihan itu diambil dari setiap kecamatan yang mana satu pelatihan terdiri dari 20 orang," katanya.
Selain itu juga produk-produk UMKM yang dititipkan di pusat oleh-oleh tersebut merupakan salah satu bentuk pembinaan pemerintah. Maka dari itu, pihaknya meminta kepada pelaku usaha terus melakukan perbaikan dan pembenahan baik kualitas dan kuantitas.
Dapat diketahui, untuk data keseluruhan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah di Batang Hari pada tahun 2024 sebanyak 13.196 UMKM. Namun di tahun 2025 masih proses tahapan verifikasi dikarenakan ada beberapa kecamatan belum menyampaikan datanya.
Untuk di pusat oleh-oleh itu ada sekitar 60 pelaku UMKM yang di tampung oleh pemerintah yang terdiri dari kuliner, fashion, kerajinan serta batik dan lain-lainnya.
