Proses belajar mengajar digelar di Aula Kantor Desa Pauh Menang, berlangsung cukup seru dan menggelitik. Sebagian dari embah-embah itu bukannya menyimak materi ‘Lansia bahagia, mandiri dan tangguh’ yang disampaikan sekda, tapi malah tertawa.
‘’Jadi dosen lansia itu harus penuh kesabaran. Bahasa yang kita sampaikan juga harus dimengerti, karena sebagian besar pesertanya warga Merangin asal Jawa, jadi kita gunakan bahasa Indonesia yang dicampur bahasa Jawa,’’ ujar Sekda, Selasa (22/7).
Pada materinya Sekda mengajak para Lansia untuk mengembangkan diri, hobi dan minat, sehingga menjadi Lansia Potensial, mampu melakukan pekerjaan atau kegiatan yang dapat menghasilkan barang dan jasa.
Lansia itu terang Sekda, dirawat dan dimuliakan oleh anak dan cucu, menghabiskan sisa usia bersama pasangan dan saling mencintai. Lansia harus selalu memiliki teman, makanya punya komunitas Sekolah Lansia.
Lansia juga punya banyak waktu luang untuk teman dan keluarga, punya banyak kebebasan untuk melakukan hal-hal yang tidak bisa dikerjakan sebelumnya, altif secara ekonomi, aktif secara religious dan spiritual, aktif secara sosial dan tentunya berolahraga.
Para Lansia yang tergabung dalam Selantang harap sekda, bisa bertemu dengan sesamanya, keterikatan secara emosional, mempererat keurukuan warga, mengecek kesehatan secara rutin, menurunkan tekanan darah dan bertemu dengan sesamanya.
Di jam terakhir belajar, sekda memberikan bingkisan kepada Lansia yang hari itu berulang tahun dan juga memberikan bingkisan untuk Lansia tertua. Sedangkan Kades Pauh Menang Ngadiran, membagikan doorprize untuk para Lansia.
Tampak hadir pada proses belajar mengajar yang berlagsung pada Senin (21/7) tersebut, Sekdes Pauh Menang Maskhun Istanto, Kepala Badan Pemusyawarahan Desa Pauh Menang Sudirman dan jajaran pegawai Kantor Desa Pauh Menang
Rombongan dari Dinas Pengendalian Penduduk dan Keluarga Berencana (PPKB) tanpak hadir, Plt Kabid KS Meileni Sari sebagai motor penggerak kegiatan, Koordinator PLKB Kecamatan Pamenang Marduwati dan para Kader Bina Keluarga Lansia.
