MERANGIN - Dua hari Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2025, Polres Merangin menurunkan puluhan personel gabungan untuk menertibkan pengendara yang melanggar aturan lalu lintas.
Operasi ini mengedepankan pendekatan edukatif, preemtif dan preventif serta penegakan hukum secara bersamaan. Meski tidak semua titik dilakukan razia statis, polisi tetap mengoptimalkan metode “hunting system”.
“Tidak ada titik stationer namun dilaksanakan dengan sistem hunting atau tertangkap tangan oleh petugas tim tindak,” ujar AKP Iwan Wahyudi, SH.,M.H, Kasat Lantas Polres Merangin, Rabu (16/07/2025).
Kasat Lantas menjelaskan, dari total 148 pelanggaran yang ditemukan dilapangan ada yang ditindak secara langsung, ada berupa teguran hingga sanksi tilang.
"Sanksi teguran sebanyak 83 perkara. Sanksi tilang manual sebanyak 65 perkara," sebut Iwan kepada wartawan, Rabu (16/07/2025). 
Pelanggaran yang ditemukan dalam Operasi Patuh Siginjai 2025 pun beragam. Pelanggaran untuk kendaraan roda dua berupa tidak menggunakan helm memiliki angka paling tinggi. 
"Jenis pelanggaran roda dua  tidak menggunakan helm 44 perkara, tidak membawa surat kelengkapan saat berkendara 9 perkara, kelengkapan kendaraan 9 perkara, pelanggaran marka jalan 2 perkara, sedangkan pelanggaran roda 4 tidak menggunakan sabuk pengaman 1 perkara" lanjut Kasat Lantas. 
Pihak Kepolisian menekankan bahwa fokus razia adalah pelanggaran yang membahayakan keselamatan, seperti tidak memakai helm, melawan arus, berbonceng lebih dari 2 dan menggunakan ponsel saat berkendara. Sedangkan untuk pelanggaran ODOL (Over Dimension Over Loading) dalam operasi kali ini hanya berupa teguran.
Kasubsi Penmas Polres Merangin AIPTU Ruly.S.Sy.,M.H., saat dikonfrimasi awak media menjelaskan, bahwa selain penegakan hukum, dalam Operasi Patuh Siginjai ini, Sat Lantas Polres Merangin juga menerapkan tindakan preemtif dan preventif. Kegiatan preemtif yakni melakukan pembinaan dan penyuluhan serta imbauan menjaga keselamatan dalam berlalu lintas.
”Selain penegakan hukum, dalam operasi Patuh kali ini Sat Lantas Polres Merangin juga melakukan kegiatan preemtif yang dilakukan pada sekolah-sekolah, salah satunya di SMPN 4 Merangin, sedangkan kegiatan preventif yakni melakukan pencegahan dengan pengaturan arus lalu lintas, patroli rutin, hingga mengingatkan pengendara yang berpotensi melakukan pelanggaran,” ujar Ruly kepada wartawan Rabu (16/07/2025).
Ruly juga menghimbau kepada masyarakat dalam berkendara untuk mematuhi peraturan berlalulintas serta melengkapi administrasi kenderaan maupun kelengkapan kendaraan.
”Musibah tidak ada yang tahu, mengingat tingkat kecelakan di merangin termasuk tinggi, oleh karena itu kami dari pihak Polres Merangin berkewajiban untuk menghimbau dan mengajak kepada seluruh masyarakat pengguna jalan untuk mematuhi peraturan lalulintas yang ada, serta melengkapi administrasi kenderaan maupun kelengkapan kendaraan. Selain itu untuk selalu mengingatkan kepada anak-anak dan keluarga agar berhati-hati dalam berkendara demi keselamatan bersama.” tutup Ruly.
