MERANGIN - Warga Jangkat Timur digegerkan oleh aksi kekerasan yang terjadi di pondok kebun wilayah Bukit Tungkat, Desa Tanjung Benuang, Kabupaten Merangin. Peristiwa ini terjadi pada Minggu, 15/6/2025, sekitar pukul 19.00 WIB. Seorang petani berinisial H.S (45) menjadi korban penganiayaan berat oleh pelaku berinisial AD (39), yang menyerangnya menggunakan dua bilah pisau. Korban mengalami luka robek serius di tangan, wajah, dan paha.
Saat dikonfirmasi, Kapolres Merangin AKBP RONI SYAHENDRA, S.H., S.I.K., M.Si., melalui Kasubsi Penmas Aiptu Ruly, membenarkan kejadian tersebut. “Korban saat itu sedang beristirahat bersama istrinya di pondok kebun. Mereka dikejutkan oleh suara benda tajam yang ditusukkan dari bawah lantai pondok. Setelah korban membuka pintu, pelaku yang telah menunggu langsung menyerang membabi buta menggunakan dua pisau di kedua tangannya. Korban berusaha menangkis serangan, namun tetap mengalami luka robek di tangan, lalu disusul luka di wajah dan paha akibat sabetan pisau pelaku,” sebut Ruly.
“Tidak hanya menyerang secara brutal, pelaku juga mengancam korban dan istrinya dengan kalimat mengerikan, “JANGAN ADO YANG BERGERAK... KALAU ADO YANG BERGERAK... AKU BUNUH GALO KAMU.” Setelah korban sempat mendorong pelaku keluar pondok, pelaku kembali menebaskan pisaunya ke arah paha korban sebelum melarikan diri. Korban segera dibawa warga ke Puskesmas Rantau Suli untuk mendapatkan perawatan medis” Ujar Ruly.
Merasa nyawanya terancam , istri korban E (42), langsung melaporkan kejadian tersebut ke Polsek Jangkat, yang kemudian unit Reskrim Polsek Jangkat pun segera melakukan penyelidikan intensif. Tim yang dipimpin Kanit Intel AIPTU Mujiono, S.H. bergerak cepat setelah mendapatkan informasi keberadaan pelaku dari warga.
Pelaku sempat berpindah-pindah tempat dan diketahui terakhir berada di sebuah pondok kebun wilayah Desa Tebing Tinggi. Sekitar pukul 19.00 WIB pada hari Sabtu, 21/6/2025, Tim gabungan Sat Reskrim Polres dan Polsek Jangkat dibantu warga setempat berhasil menangkap pelaku tanpa perlawanan. Pelaku kemudian dibawa ke Mapolsek Jangkat untuk menjalani proses penyidikan lebih lanjut di Polres Merangin.
Kapolsek Jangkat Iptu Bakri  menyampaikan apresiasi kepada seluruh personel yang terlibat dan masyarakat yang telah membantu proses penangkapan. “Kami tegaskan bahwa setiap tindak kekerasan akan kami tindak tegas sesuai hukum yang berlaku. Terima kasih kepada warga yang proaktif dalam memberikan informasi sehingga pelaku dapat segera diamankan. Kami berkomitmen menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat secara maksimal,” tegas Bakri.
Atas perbuatannya, tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 351 ayat (2) KUHP tentang penganiayaan berat yang mengakibatkan luka serius. Pelaku dapat dipidana dengan hukuman penjara paling lama lima tahun.
