Tuan rumah Kecamatan Tabir Barat, berhasil menjadi juara  umum pada MTQ tersebut dengan nilai 353. Terbaik kedua Kecamatan Batang Masumai dengan nilai 193 dan terbaik ketiga Kecamatan Tabir Selatan dengan nilai 176.
Sedangkan Kecamatan Bangko harus puas menempati posisi terbaik keempat dengan nilai 153. Namun demikian, Kecamatan Bangko yang dipimpin Camat Ny Anggie berhasil menjadi yang terbaik pada Pawai Ta’aruf dengan nilai 283.

‘’Selamat kepada tuan rumah berhasil menjadi yang terbaik pada MTQ ini, tingkatkan terus prestasinya dan terimakasih kepada Tabir Barat yang telah menjadi tuan rumah yang baik pada MTQ ini,’’ ujar Wabup.
Pada acara penutupan MTQ itu, wabup didampingi K H Satar Salah dan panita MTQ, menyerahkan Piala Bergilir MTQ tingkat Kabupatan Merangin kepada Camat Tabir Barat Abdul Rahman.
Untuk pelaksanaan MTQ ke-52 tahun depan akan dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Sungai Manau. Wabup menyerahkan bendera MTQ tingkat Kabupaten Merangin ke Camat Sungai Manau.
Acara penutupan MTQ ke-51 itu berlangsung meriah, diwarnai dengan berbagai tampilan tari-tarian bermuansa Islami yang kental dan ditampilkan Syalawatan oleh ibu-ibu PKK Kecamatan Tabir Barat.
Penurunan bendera MTQ dilakukan oleh 30 orang pelajar, terdiri dari 11 putra dan 19 putri. Anggota Paskibraka ini besal dari pelajar SMK, SMA dan SMP di Kecamatan Tabir Barat.
