‘’Alhamdulillah saya baru mendapat kabar gembira, bahwa angka prevalensi Stunting Kabupaten Merangin turun, dari 14,9 pada 2023 menjadi 9,6 pada 2024. Ini semua berkat kerja keras TPPS Merangin dan semua pihak yang terlibat,’’ujar Wabup.
Dikatakan H A Khafidh, berdasarkan strategi nasional (Stranas) percepatan penurunan Stunting 2025 - 2029, adanya transformasi pelaksanaan aksi Konvergensi Stunting di 2025.
Transformasi pelaksanaan aksi tersebut lanjut Wabup, dari delapan aksi menjadi empat aksi konvergensi Stunting dan berfokus pada analisis situasi, penguatan perencanaan dan pelaksanaan serta penilaian hasil monitoring dan evaluasi.
‘’Tapi semua itu tidak merubah tujuan utama menurunkan angka kasus Stunting di Indonesia, khususnya Merangin. Saya berharap peserta rakor pada hari ini lebih fokus mendengarkan paparan yang akan disampaikan para narasumber,’’pinta Wabup.
Narasumber yang tampil, dari Bappeda Provinsi Jambi Ade Irawansyah dengan materi ‘Sosialisasi perubahan Aksi Konvergensi Pencegahan dan Percepatan Penurunan Stunting 2025’.
Hadir juga narasumber yang tidak asing lagi, Kepala Perwakilan Kemendukbangga/BKKBN Provinsi Jambi Putut Riyatno, dengan materi  ‘Harmonisasi Pusat dan Daerah melalui Genting’.
Selain itu juga tampil sebagai narasumber, Ketua TPPS Merangin yang juga Wabup Merangin H A Khafidh dengan materi, ‘Pemetaan orang tua asuh cegah Stunting (draf Surat Keputusan Bupati tentang Penetapan orang tua asuh cegah Stunting’.
Tidak hanya itu, juga tampil Wakil Ketua TPPS Merangin yang juga Sekda Merangin Fajarman dengan materi, ‘Sosialisasi mekanisme Genting dan Posyandu terintegrasi dalam layanan primer upaya penurunan Stunting Kabupaten Merangin’.
Plt Kadis PPKB Merangin Suherman sebagai ketua panitia pelaksana rakor mengatakan, tujuan rakor tersebut salah satunya untuk menyinergikan langkah-langkah, mengevaluasi capaian dan merumuskan strategi yang lebih efektif dalam upaya percepatan penurunan Stunting.
‘’Kita juga ingin menguatkan komitmen, peran serta dan tanggungjawab seluruh pemangku kepentingan, baik di tingkat Pusat, provinsi, maupun kabupaten/kota,’’jelas Suherman.
Pada rakor TPPS Merangin 2025 tersebut, juga dilakukan penyaluran  bantuan Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT), kepada sasaran keluarga beresiko Stunting sebanyak 53 orang.
