MERANGIN – Dalam rangka membina ketahanan fisik dan jasmani personel, seluruh anggota Kodim 0420/Sarko melaksanakan kegiatan Garjas (Kesegaran Jasmani) Periodik yang berlangsung di Lapangan GOR Kabupaten Merangin, Kamis (8/5/2025). Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program rutin TNI Angkatan Darat (TNI AD) untuk memastikan kesiapan fisik seluruh prajurit dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya.
Kegiatan Garjas Periodik ini melibatkan seluruh personel Kodim 0420/Sarko, dimulai dengan pemanasan yang diikuti dengan berbagai rangkaian latihan fisik, termasuk lari, push-up, sit-up, dan latihan ketahanan lainnya. Garjas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh, kelincahan, serta kekuatan fisik setiap prajurit agar selalu siap menghadapi berbagai tantangan, baik dalam tugas di lapangan maupun dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
Dandim 0420/Sarko, Letkol Inf. Suyono, S.Sos, dalam sambutannya menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan Garjas Periodik ini sangat penting untuk menjaga kebugaran dan kesiapan fisik personel, yang merupakan salah satu aspek utama dalam menunjang keberhasilan tugas-tugas TNI AD. Beliau juga menekankan pentingnya semangat juang dan kedisiplinan dalam setiap latihan yang dilakukan.
"Ketahanan fisik yang baik akan mendukung setiap prajurit dalam melaksanakan tugas, baik dalam kondisi darurat maupun operasi rutin. Melalui kegiatan Garjas ini, kami berharap seluruh anggota Kodim 0420/Sarko dapat terus meningkatkan kemampuan fisik, serta membentuk karakter dan disiplin yang lebih kuat," ujar Dandim.
Penyelenggaraan Garjas ini merupakan bentuk nyata komitmen Kodim 0420/Sarko dalam menjaga kesiapan operasional dan meningkatkan profesionalisme anggotanya. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi motivasi bagi seluruh anggota untuk selalu menjaga kebugaran dan ketahanan fisik mereka, demi kesuksesan tugas TNI AD dan pengabdian kepada negara.
Kegiatan ini berakhir dengan evaluasi hasil latihan dan penyampaian arahan dari Dandim mengenai pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan kebugaran tubuh, sekaligus menjaga semangat juang agar tetap tinggi dalam menghadapi tantangan tugas yang akan datang.
