MUARABULIAN - Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Batanghari melalui Dinas Pangan, Pertanian dan Perikanan menargetkan luas tanam benih padi pada April tahun ini seluas 2.689 hektar.
Seperti yang disampaikan Kepala Dinas Pangan, Pertanian dan Perikanan melalui Kepala Bidang Tanaman Pangan, Roma Uliana mengatakan, berdasarkan catatan data per tanggal 21 April 2025, benih padi sudah tertanam seluas 1.168 hektar dan masih ada waktu untuk melakukan penanaman yang kini sedang berproses agar bisa mencapai target yang ditetapkan pemerintah.
“Sesuai hitungan kami, nanti sampai akhir April luas tanam di Batanghari mencapai angka 2.689 hektar, dalam artian mencapai target,“ katanya.
Meskipun hal itu merupakan hasil hitungan pihak dinas, namun diyakini angka tersebut kemungkinan akan terus bertambah. Terutama dari benih yang ditanam secara swadaya oleh para petani. Dalam artian benih-benih lokal yang disiapkan para petani.
Sementara itu untuk benih-benih bantuan yang telah disalurkan ke petani, merupakan benih bantuan dari Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Negara (APBN). Terutama untuk jenis padi reguler yang sudah disalurkan sejak pertengahan Maret hingga awal April 2025 dengan capaian luas tanam sebanyak 1.850 hektar.
"Kami dari Pemerintah Batanghari masih menunggu bantuan benih dari pemerintah pusat, khusus benih untuk optimalisasi lahan," kata Roma.
Total luasan lahan sebanyak 2.490 Hektare, untuk bantuan benih yang akan diterima oleh Pemerintah Batanghari pada 2025 ini sebanyak 4.200 hektar dan ditambah dari swadaya 200 hektar.
