Pada acara yang dihadiri Ketua KBMM Syawal Siregar dan ratusan warga Batak Muslim tersebut, bupati mengatakan pentingnya silaturahmi seperti halal bihalal yang sedang dilaksanakan tersebut.
Organisasi atau Perkumpulan jelas bupati, dibangun bukan untuk menunjukan sebuah kekuatan, suku, ras atau kelompok orang, tapi untuk merangkum nilai-nilai sosial antara sesama, dengan semangat gotong royong dan kebersamaan.
‘’Saya disini bekerja, saya disini mencari hidup, kita disini punya tanggungjawab kepada negeri Kabupaten Merangin, kita harus membangun Merangin bersama-sama,’’ ajak Bupati.
